Pretty much even-steven on stats for me. Both good players, but both had the potential to be greats. I'll go with Mushtaq, because I feel he's very underrated. Laxman is overrated on this board, due to one performance, regardless how majestic it was.

I guarantee you Laxman receives more criticism on this board then off it, and praise outside this board than on it.

VVS for me.

Actually, VVS has had some really good innings against Australia, even outside the 281.
