Battle of the Cricketers

Another tough one. Obviously I've seen several dozen times more of Donald than Davidson & Donald in full flight was a joy to behold. A genuine fire-breathing, massive quick. His spell to Atherton in 98 was one of the great personal battles between bowler & batter which, of course, AD actually should've won with a v palpable glove behind. We def had the rub of the green in that series. Off the pitch he seems a quietly spoken gentleman, but I imagine he was pretty damn terrifying to face.

Davidson looks Donald's diametric opposite in many ways, what I've seen of him shows an action that is a beauty of economy; no energy wasted. I don't know if it was natural of he adopted it to overcome his injury probs. I don't think he'd be the kind of bowler to stir the blood in quite the same way as Donald, but his career record suggests he must've been v hard to score off.

It's hard to keep personal preference out tho, so sod it I'm going for White Lightening himself

Statham. 2260 FC wickets @ 16.37. Need I say more?
Yeah....but in the days of lower bowling averages in general and uncovered pitches. I do rate Statham, but for me TRUEMAN takes it marginally

9-4 Trueman. Can I just ask a quick question. Are people less interested in this competition than the original one? As I'm definately not getting as many votes. Not a moan, as much as a thought.

ROUND ONE ----- BATTLE SIX
