I started a "Hadlee is a ******" chant at the MCG, once, back in the 80's. It wasn't very original, but I felt a warm feeling all over - the drunk morons that joined in the chant had finally accepted me as one of their own.

Can't go past Hadlee - I'd have voted for him based on his bowling alone, even if he couldn't bat. Although M.Crowe was an excellent batsman. Not entirely convinced by his new hair though.

I think "so and so is a ******" chants are really just a sign of respect for Australian crowds. Plus it would have been especially hilarious with Hadlee because he got so majorly cut by them.

I once participated in "Carey's a ******" at a footy game, never done it at the cricket though. I also quite admired Carey as a footballer, but boy did he deserve it. :p

18-1 to Hadlee

ROUND ONE ----- ----- MATCHUP FIFTEEN

A Kumble (India) (RHB, LB)

AC Gilchrist (Australia) (LHB, WK)

A modern Matchup.

Gotta be Gilly. He’s redefined the role of wicketkeeper/batsman. Post-Gilchrist it's more or less impossible to be just a specialist wickie. Ask Chris Read!! Kumble bowls with great control & has ably shown you don't have to be a massive turner of the ball to be a huge success. In a way it's a pity that his career has coincided with arguably the two greatest spinners of all-time.

Gilchrist

A tough one with two great players, but Gilchrist could make an All Time World XI while Kumble would not even be considered, so the Australian gets my vote .

not likely...all all-time 11 will have the classiest batsman and all-rounders of all time and they wouldn't need a 'keeper who can bat well lower in the order and if you look for really classy keepers to fill that slot, there are quite a few above gilchrist....

anyway he is the better of these two, so gilchrist.....
