Funny you mention that Arch, because on old footage I've seen of Larwood there seems to be a quite pronounced kink in his elbow & I can't remember anything being written about Lol being a chucker either.

I'll go Pollock for this battle. He had enough about him to still be effective as his pace has decreased. Second only to McGrath of contemporary seamers for mine.

At the height of the chucking debate in the 60s Bradman often showed a film of a left arm fast bowler, everyone agreed he was a chucker.

Bradman would then reveal he was showing the film back the front (is that the right term?) and the bowler was in fact Larwood.
