Cousins here, been gun for longer. I personally find Goodes is slightly overrated and Cousins is slightly underrated. Cousins is an all time great for mine.
Although when it comes to personalities, Cousins is a **** and Goodes is a legend.

Cousins is possibly the most underrated player of the era, he's as good as it gets. Or he was, anyway. Goodes is gun and I love him, but Cousins has been slightly better for longer.

Hmm, seems wrong to penalise Goodes for being younger. He's done basically everything that Cousins has done, plus an extra Brownlow. He also has tended to play in a stronger team, with Cousins winning a string of B&F's when WC were in their bad patch, which is the only significant difference in their record.
Goodes has also done the business in four different roles (back, forward, ruck, wing). Hold with me on this one.

Goodes, I'm with Jack here.
Rate Cousins as high as everyone, but Goodes was forced to completely change his game through an injury, and went from premier ruckman to premier midfielder within 2-3 years. Outstanding player.
Gelman what make you think Goodes is overrated out of curiosity?
Only point I disagree with Jack is mentioning brownlowsl, considering how many Cousins came close to before eventually winning one in 2005.
