Ooo, strategic voting to give Tyson and Korty one vote each, putting Larwood straight through - very clever.

Of course. How silly of me, it was 1hr and 15 minutes left because it was GMT rather than BST.

Larwood -

Wasn't expecting you to participate yet Mr Z - has the Rioja mellowed you this evening?

No but at least we're now talking about bowlers who aren't more than a generation apart, and from the relatively little cricket writing that I've read I felt that Tyson was the quicker. However I have to admit that when you and Archie Mac line up together against me on this kind of issue I start to feel nervous and horribly outgunned.

Don't worry I think on their best day it would have been little more then a toss of the coin:-O

How ironic, given the thread we had this week.

Allan Donald, comfortably.

Donald

The interesting thing is that the Donald clip is clearly the same spell (possibly even the same over) yet isnt mentioned as such. Yet the Srinath clip is labelled a "spell" yet clothing and light conditions change and he gets Thorpe and Stewart out twice. Well bowled

It is astounding how little there is of early Srinath on Youtube. BTW, I've just taken the titles from the videos.
