Hobbs, who doesn't deserve the shredding he's getting, and Paddles, though on another day it might be Waqar
that is exactly what i said. i voted for hadlee because i like his batting. just go back and see my earlier post.
I think he only said that about Wasim
dude you can say that you just like Hadlee better. People won't bite you
Waqar was largely exonerated, actually. I quote from his Lordship's report:
I think he only said that about Wasim
Contrast with what he said about (the already qualified) Wasim:Mr Justice Quyyum said:As regards the general allegations, they are generally baseless. No evidence has been proffered to support them. The evidence against Waqar Younis is primarily hearsay (even then mostly from anonymous sources) and unsubstantiated.
Seems very harsh to use match-fixing as a stick to beat Waqar with when Wasim was given a pass in his match-up.Mr Justice Quyyum said:once this commission looks at the allegations in their totality, this commission feels that all is not well here and that Wasim Akram is not above board. He has not co-operated with this Commission. It is only by giving Wasim Akram the benefit of the doubt after Ata-ur-Rehman changed his testimony in suspicious circumstances that he has not been found guilty of match-fixing. He cannot be said to be above suspicion.
Righto, hand-over that NZ passport lad...Waqar
Not a worthy enough competitor found so far for him. When is the Richard Chee-Quee battle up?
AWTA!Seems very harsh to use match-fixing as a stick to beat Waqar with when Wasim was given a pass in his match-up.
Righto, hand-over that NZ passport lad...
did he now, bagapath????justice quayyam made it clear that some senior players, including waqar, were involved in fixing matches. just that he was a fan of those accused cricketers and so he didnt want to pull the curtain on their careers; typical subcontinental justice. dont want to take the discussion away from the thread topic. i gave my reasons as to why i did not vote for waqar here, and wasim earlier; you can choose to agree with me or not. but as far as i am concerned my logic is consistent in rejecting them and choosing warne.

I am not doing that at all!!! I chose to vote for hadlee for purely cricketing reasons. please read my earlier posts.Waqar was largely exonerated, actually. I quote from his Lordship's report:
