Battle of Cricketers - CW's Favorite Cricketer

Surprised at the luke-warm reaction to Alec really, my fave England Batsman to watch since Gower really, mind you that's not saying a lot, I wasn't a massive fan of us during the nineties. Most of our better batsmen to watch of the last ten years have been ugly to watch too, except for maybe Bell, and no-one likes him.
The only lukewarm reaction was from me, tbf. He just never really did it for me. A fine and widely-respected player and a true uncomplaining stalwart of the team but I just never really warmed to him. He's also one of our dullest current pundits

Well, Pothas alluded that he voted for him more for the era then the player. Hey diff'rent strokes for diff'rent folks, I really don't get the Atherton love. Will admit that Athers is a million-times better pundit though.

Bloody hell... This is a real tough one.

I'm actually gonna vote Border. I really respect what he did in dragging Australia back to the top of the cricketing world.

Tough round for me as I could easily have voted for Pollock or Border but I'll go with Alec Stewart.

Border with 7 of the last 8 votes, carries him throgh to 14 and wins. Pollock gets the second chance.
