Tough round. Had a lot of time for Stewart.

I adore AB, was my first cricketing hero.

But it has to be Pollock. Legend, been a big part of my cricket watching throughout my life, and importantly, when allowed to choose a song for the World XI vs. Australia match, his choice was "Africa" by Toto.

What a ****ing guy.

Surprised at the luke-warm reaction to Alec really, my fave England Batsman to watch since Gower really, mind you that's not saying a lot, I wasn't a massive fan of us during the nineties. Most of our better batsmen to watch of the last ten years have been ugly to watch too, except for maybe Bell, and no-one likes him.

Think I am one of the few that actually likes Bell.

Alec was pretty good to watch but I never loved him like I did Athers when I was a kid.

Thorpe better to watch as well in my opinion, may not have been the most exciting but he was a class above. Vaughan as well of course.

Pietersen is great to watch as well, although can see why some would not think so.

This is a really tough round, three fantastic players. Much though I liked Stewart, I was more an Atherton person than a Stewart person.

I'm going to vote Pollock because he was one of my favourite players for a long time.

Surprisingly, I quite like Bell. I'm unsure why people have no confidence in him and show him virtually no support though. Lack of consistency perhaps?

Thorpe was great to watch as well IMO.

Always liked Alec Stewart, but Pollock was so awesome. I can't go past him. He's pretty under-rated IMO - he's the sort of player who everyone will agree was right right up when he's brought up but will often get forgotten altogether.

Englishman
Stewart; great player of pace and sucked it up to keep for the balance of the side. Criminal he ended with an average of below 40. Doubt playing for England ever meant more to anyone else either. Something of the gruff but loveable NCO about him.

AWTA, Stewart.
