Bangladesh in South Africa

Shakib is turning into quite the allrounder that Bangladesh have been looking for. Kayes and Siddique are hopeless. Steyn got the 2 best batsmen when his team needed him the most. If raqibul could have stayed would have been intresting. Tamims run out is more of Ash and him not getting to bat together enough. Saw alot of positive out of this match
Funniest guy. He was caught five foot above the ground by Amla yet didn't want to walk.

Must say there is a far bit of spite going on between these two sides. Hashim's run out didn't help matters but the South Africans look pumped. The Centurion test match might not be pretty...

Anyhow, hopefully the Johann Louw experiment won't go on for much longer. Also Kallis needs a rocket after his performance yesterday, AB who was batting far more fluently i.e. quickly had to give his wicket away because Jacques was taking the piss. Whilst, JP then had to come in and start doing all kinds of funny **** to get some runs on the board because Kallis was still content at pushing the ball around on an absolute road.

Better to play with an attitdue than play like chickens. Even if we are overmatched. Needless to say we wont win the spirit of cricket award @ the next ICC ceromonies after Amla run out.

Oh for sure. Bangladesh were running scared at home when they came across Steyn and Morkel at Chittagong, so its good to see them not taking a backwards step here but their best chance of a surprise was probably getting South Africa into a false sense of security, not giving them ammunition and a want to literally knock their blocks off.

Very pleased with that Bangladeshi performance. Even in spite of that disastrous power play at the end we restricted them to 70 fewer than the 350 they should have compiled on that pitch, with the fast outfield and short boundaries.

The run chase wasn't bad either. Siddiqui continued to prove that he's all at sea against short pitched bowling but Sakib and Tamim both gave good accounts of themselves. I've been watching Bangladeshi cricket too long to make optimistic predictions about Ashraful turning a corner, and I fully expect him to revert to his usual form in the next couple of matches, but even so, for all my criticism of him I can't think of more than a couple of players in international cricket who are easier on the eye than he is when he's in full flight.

Captain Smith back tomorrow. Louw and Ontong likely to be gone and if that is the case, the former will probably never been seen again.

Yeah but who would you rather have playing international cricket on your doorstep.. Bangladesh or Australia? And the weather should be good in March too
March isn't the holidays though, not quite the same. Made up for by the fact that I'll be watching the team in Sydney and Melbourne in January.

Will be good to see Smith back, crossing thumbs for the weather to be okay.

Perfect weather here, and no international cricket until March. :(
I like the itinerary that has been selected for both Kenya and Bangladesh. Some of these smaller grounds are really picturesque and at Potchefstroom and in East London next week you will find that the crowds are far more diverse. Newlands whilst the weather maybe good the wicket sure isn't and you can't play at Paarl because Bangladesh might as well be playing at home. It’s a shame PE hasn’t got a ODI for the atmosphere last year during Polly’s send off was awesome, one of the best moments in South Africa’s cricketing history for mine.

Also I think CSA have made life easier for the Bangladeshis, they could have easily given them Kingsmead at night, Newlands at night or a test match in Durban. The only real sucker ground they may find themselves on is at Centurion in the last test but according to Dale Steyn, if the game at Benoni is on tomorrow expect a wicket with pace and bounce.

So I’m I. It’s a Sunday so that means the internet is quicker! :)

Just a shame SuperSport are only have two men on commentary who are worth listening to at the moment, Kepler Wessels and Jackers. I'm sure AD will be back when the first test happens at Bloemfontein but I can't stand Pommie, de **** and Procter. I thought Jeremy Fredericks was a decent laugh when he popped up during the Kenyan series and HD Ackerman's Dad, Hylton was pure class as well (what happened to him?) and who can’t forget the legend that was Mike Haysman. And worst of, Omar 'turncoat' Henry is doing the studio analysis...

Well that is why they are renovating it, which is why there isn't any cricket here at all until mid-December. A good thing obviously, just a bit of a bummer right now, but hopefully it will lead to better watching next year.

You get Supersport in China? Do you get other channels like Mnet?

Apart from the lack of parking, it's one of the few grounds that I don't see any need in renovating at all.. What are they doing exactly?

Fixing the horrendous outfield AFAIK, remember that West Indies match where none of the shots got to the rope?? Definitely needs doing.

Neil Mac also did his groin, Steyn got injured and the West Indian pacer, Edwards did himself in as well. That was a farce of game. The wicket is also pretty crappy, in the last few seasons we have had a green-top where Stuey Clark went on a man raping spree or then the polar opposite a slow, low turner to play the Indians on...
