I find it impossible to resist the temptation to say something along the lines of:

But will resist the temptation here, because some people are evidently getting tired of it...

Ok, so if symo doesn't get fit at the latter stages of the WC, then who should replace him. There are people who say that White is the obvious replacement (because he can chip in overs with the ball[which i seriously doubt after seeing the way he has bowled at the international level] and can also pack a punch with the bat like symo) but won't David Hussey be a better pick given all his First-class experience and his superb recent form.

I'm not sure he can be replaced now. Although I'm most likely long, but I think because he has been picked as an injured player he cannot be replaced in the squad, unlike someone like Brett Lee who was injured after the squad was named. I think the ICC have pretty strict guidlines along those lines.

I'm pretty sure you can replace any injured in a WC Squad at any time, with 2 days notice.

That's how it should work, but I believe that the ICC have actually said that they can replace him at a later date.

Does anyone know if Clarke's hip problems will affect his bowling? He has said in the press that he will be playing through pain.

I ask because without Clarke's bowling and with Symonds' replacement Hodge not bowling, I think this is a big concern... I presume even if Symonds comes back he won't be bowling.

I would really like to have seen another bowling option somewhere within the batting, at the moment you're relying on the four bowlers plus watson pretty much bowling their 50 with no leeway for someone having an off-day.

The replacement batsman doesn't even offer options, as it is Haddin.
