I think they should just bite the bullet frankly. With relatively easy series coming up against the Bangas, EnZeders (with due respect to them Australia's pace attack in home conditions should still get it done) and Windies there's no better time to pick guys who are going to be the future and stick with them.
Of the guys from the current squad obviously Clarke, Rogers, Haddin and Harris are done, I'd say Watto is also. Had Voges backed up his debut you'd want to try and get maybe 2 year out of him, but I'd stick a fork in him. Siddle might not be done, but is nothing more than a fringe selection for times where we've got three or more top liner's out. So that's 7 of Ricky's 8 that are probably not going to be part of the side going forward.
Smith and Warner are certs and Nev has the gloves with the attack staying pretty much the same except Fawad might get a gig in Bangladesh.
Smarsh will probably be retained unless he has another shocker in the 5th test (and probs even if).
So an opener and Nos 5&6. Mmarsh has the inside running still for the 6 spot, and will likely retain that in Bangladesh, especially if the selectors do decide to cap Ahmed. The other option that they might seriously look at is Maxwell again. I'm not totally against that either.
Smarsh is a chance for Roger's spot opening, but now he's back in the middle order they will probably look to retain him at 4. Burns for mine would be the leading candidate for opener with Bancroft making a run, but possibly deemed too young yet.
If he's not opening Burns would probably come in at 5, but I wouldn't be completely against giving Ferguson a shot there. Lynn and maybe a few others roughies like Mad Dog could be considered also.
I'm not completely sure Uzi is as close to a recall as some think.
