Australian Squad

Well, this format has been there only from 2019 but yeah, it was always obvious you needed 18 member squads when the format guarantees 9 games a side and that too within a month or whatever the time is.
ODI WC squads have been limited to 15 for as long as I can remember. The difference this time though is teams are carrying injured players into the tournament therefore limiting squad options.

Same with Marsh, sad he has personal issues forcing him to leave tour, but If issue is big enough to leave with Maxwell already out then issue will likely still be there in 2 weeks. They should have named a replacement already

Saw some news that Marsh saying he’ll be back for the World Cup told his team he would before he left. Reported by the guardian

Australia campaign is going a bit like their 1999 campaign. May even play SA in semi final.

Could Green be a bigger disappointment as Australia's gun allrounder. 63 runs at 75 SR and only 2 overs, 0-11 (at least Stoinis has 13 overs for 3 wickets and bats with a 115 SR)

Maxwell is a good 7. Any higher and he's a liability. Marsh and Maxwell together in the top 6 is iffy. Marsh is a form player like Roy or Zaman. He's also going to suck a lot of the time. 4, 5 and 6 have to be locked in and firing for both Maxwell and Marsh to fit the side well. Otherwise you get a side that scores a big total every now and then but haplessly collapses in between.
I probably shouldn’t single this one comment out but there were plenty in this thread that need to taste it

I've got about a dozen posts saved from Kiwi posters after the first couple of games about Australia's shortcomings and NZ are just a lot stronger in every way etc.

Going to wait to make sure they don't win the ****ing thing before bringing them out though
