Fair. Though even then that largely extends to Henry Hunt (who's consistent but isn't really anything remarkable - would still take him back though) and *potentially* Tim Ward + Laurence Neil-Smith.

Yeah forgot about Ellis, but even then he's not played that much FC cricket either.

List of NSWmen playing outside of NSW (IIRC):

* Khawaja (significantly older than Cummins/Patterson)
* Sandhu (same age as Cummins/Patterson)
* Hunt
* McAndrew (same age as Cummins/Patterson - and has basically zero FC exposure)
* Gibson (can't make SA's Best XI)
* Ward
* Silk (older than Cummins/Patterson)
* Wakim (older than Cummins/Patterson and really isn't FC standard)
* Doran (not notably better than the fetuses)
* Neil-Smith
* Ellis
* Bird (significantly older than Cummins/Patterson)
* Maddinson (older than Cummins/Patterson)

Our bowling isn't the problem so I don't think Neil-Smith and Ellis coming in would help. Hunt and Ward would be upgrades, but not massive ones (though Ward does look like making him wait was the right option).

It's a tough scenario as if we do make batsmen wait then they might **** off - but equally it's better for their development that way. Look at Jake Doran, for example.

This side is a disgrace to its people. Wholesale sackings required, starting with Nevill, who’s basically a half-forward, non-run scoring prod in human form. Woeful.

Nsw should just go full Bangladesh and turn their home deck into a low, slow turning shitshow. Davies is invincible vs anything under 130km/h and Sangha/Lyon is probably the best spin duo in the shield.

Wouldn't be great for the domestic scene but would be piss funny.

That's pretty much what it used to be, at least when the West Indies came around. We twice diddled teams which had otherwise soundly thrashed us on scalped pitches there in the eighties.
