What the hell are Tasmania doing. Why are they blocking maiden after maiden.
At least they could have made an attempt at the target.

Looked like Matty Wade was going to have a crack but obviously they've since got instructions to just stop it

when I think of Ferguson, it's fair to say my only real memory is him making a junk time ton in the 2nd innings following Bracken's 7/4 and Jaques 217

that and being a Sydney Thunder captain

Feels like the end of an era, Ferguson was just starting to make his way when I started following, been keeping track of his career through the highs and lows ever since. Has given his state distinguished service over the years, hope the team can dig deep against Queensland to farewell him on a high note

I note that Shane Watson urged the selectors to to unleash Cameron Green against the Indians this summer but hopes Green can be shielded from the ruthless spotlight he experienced as a Test all-rounder. Part of his piece states, "I just hope the Australian public and the media and the expectations around are just a bit kinder and gentle, because there's no reason why someone - just because they're an all-rounder - needs to be exposed more than other people."
There's no doubt the Australian cricket public have been crying out for an all-rounder after watching the exploits of Richard Hadlee, Imran Khan, Kapil Dev and Ian Botham. The performances of Andrew Flintoff and Ben Stokes adds to the frustration and players such as Watson, Andrew Symonds and Mitchell Marsh have definitely come under closer scrutiny (and criticism) than have many specialist batsmen and bowlers.

The Next Miller syndrome has probably claimed even more Australian players than the search for Warne's successor.

To be fair green is the first person with that tag who even has had half a chance of being the bowler miller was.

The normal awards that everyone else has
Australian teams are better when they select the best six bats and the best four bowlers plus a keeper who isn’t a gumby with the bat. If someone in the top six can bowl a bit, so be it.
