Another poor shot from Bert. He's been grinding out a lot of starts and getting out. Suggests to me he's not yet adapted fully to the patience needed to keep going. He batted well enough today, it wasn't easy out there. But the dismissal looks really bad.

Disappointed about not taking advantage of a strong start, but bloody hell Cameron Green really is something special. It's not just the runs, as much about just how utterly unflustered he looks at the crease, putting his vastly more experienced teammates to shame.
Unfortunately though from what the commentators said he is still unlikely to bowl this game which is disappointing

I never said Carey was a bad captain, I said he was unproven. From what I have seen so far he seemed OK without being great at it, level headed but perhaps a bit too conservative
But his batting has been impressive, pitch has been fairly docile but he has looked the best in the team. Saw out a good spell from Kelly and has accelerated after that.
Joel Paris looks a bit flat I reckon. Underdone perhaps?

I tell you what, people moaned about Paine's declation supposedly being harsh but Paris has never made a 50 and got declared on on 49* in the first dig. Maybe he's sulking a bit.
