Why the **** are we playing these games on crappy grounds like Hurstville when there are quality grounds in other states (and still probably plenty in Sydney too) going unused. You shouldn't need to search for the ball for 10 minutes every time the ball goes over the boundary ffs. Whoever schedules these needs to smarten up. I mean just the bloody running track around the ground looks ridiculous.

Cooper never got going there. Just seems to have those days where he barely looks like a top-order bat. Both him and Ferguson glaring at the pitch ain’t gonna help ya when you’re already out, fellas.

The women get AB Oval too so it's not like good grounds aren't available.

Having said that, playing on postage stamps is great preparation for the world cup.

And I've been thinking that the selectors should have used the world cup as an excuse to keep Maxwell home. " It was a 50/50 call but we wanted to give Maxwell the opportunity to play as much one day cricket in the lead up to the world cup next year" would have been a better excuse than "he doesn't score hundreds".

I really don't mind the bowling attack from NSW, particularly given they've acknowledged SOK averages 2 million in List A cricket. They're all pretty new but you can't say they're keeping anyone deserving out, and Abbott's awesome List A numbers are always forgotten about (and in most of those matches he wasn't opening the bowling so this is a new-ish role for him). it's the opposite of the batting.


So of course half the attack will soon be dropped for Hazelwood, Cummins while the batting continues to operate as normal....
