Bertus should move to Queensland or Victoria to turn him into a world class cricketer and give him some game time.

Decent effort Jackson Bird, picking up back to back Shield Captains’ Player of the Year awards.

tbf it is a very NSW thing to stick with the same batting line up in every game of the season no matter what (well, unless there's no SuperNev).

How many players are producing performances in the Futures League to warrant selection? Certainly not Gauci, Uppal and Gibson. What is the point of having a squad of 30 if 10 of them (Gauci, Sammut, Hadley, Nair, Uppal, Thornton, Stobo, Dwarshuis (will never be anything more than a limited overs player), M Edwards and Gibson) produce nothing all season? Jake Edwards and Jason Sangha have proved if you are good enough, you're old enough. NSW may as well have had only 20 players given what the other 10 players have produced this season. With Smith and Warner set to return a clearout of those not producing the goods is required. Even with International call-ups do NSW really need more than 22 players in the squad? Better to have quality rather than quantity but make sure those in the squad are good enough to step up if required.

Hasn't that been the case forever?

Get the kayo app. 14 day free trial
uh not for the last few years after foxtel chucked their dummy spit when they lost the bbl. it's been streamed on the ca site along with the rest of the season. it's just a bit **** to not be able to watch something i've (tried to) watched all season, particularly when fox tried to make it sound like they were doing us a big favour by showing the final.

God I hope so. The **** probably still thinks he's a genuine chance for the Test team, and it's irritating for some reason

Vics have recalled Cam White and picked 5 bowlers. Pattinson to bat 7. Surely you'd want to pack the side with batting if you only have to draw but whatever.

Not the case this time around apparently. Winner is who wins first-innings points if it's a draw.

No, that is wrong. The winner is the side with most bonus points. Sides 0.01 points for every run over 200 and 0.1 points for every wicket taken in the first 100 overs of the match,

The rules have been changed, it is now decided on bonus points if it is a draw, not just the home side winning.

My bad for assuming Burgey's statement was accurate. Definitely a positive move for the competition.

Though now I wonder which it is? Bonus points or First-Innings?
