It is an excellent match, that in Adelaide. Ebbing and flowing which is the type of cricket I like,
Nah NSW miles in front. With that batting line-up, SA needed to be none down at stumps and in front to put any pressure on, now they'll be scrambling to avoid a 10-wicket loss.

****ing lovely late spell by Starc, but. Head and Lehmann copped some really nasty knackers, just too ****ing quick. No chance.

Well, all the hard work (Dalton and Weatherald), old-fashioned attrition opening stand, was undone in eight overs is what I mean. SA almost had it to a clean slate for the second innings and then the wickets tumbled and New South Wales are now in complete control. That was an exceptional delivery by Starc by the way which nipped up off the seam and bowled the batsman through the gate.

I wanted S. Australia to win, I need somebody to support here and New South Wales are packed with some of my least favourite Australian internationals so I decided to support the underdogs - Sobers played for them also which is as good a reason as any. I'll continue watching it in the hope my South Australian chaps make a comeback. I get the last two-three hours in the morning.

Which ones? I don't think off the top of my head there are any massively annoying individuals - apart from perhaps Warner but, to be fair, he seems a decent enough individual these days; just a bit limited. Starc also seems a little bit of a DH but he's got huge talent so I don't care.

Maxwell is going to end his career as such a disappointment I reckon. Not even coming close to touching what Andrew Symonds achieved. It's a real shame.

Really, really pleasing to see Khawaja performing; despite his struggles, that man is class.

Is Midwinter still around? I thoroughly enjoyed his Shield summaries last season.

Being from SA, no one wants them to win more than me! And had they gotten through the final session none or 1 down, they'd be closer than a team who'd been rolled for 92 deserved to be. But yeah, a lifetime of being an SA supporter has taught me to be wary of the last half-hour before being too optimistic for the first session of the next day....

Pretty sure he is. Typically does a great write-up when he goes to the MCG or at the completion of the round.

I've re-watched the Maddinson leave a few times now and stand by first impression. Its a poor leave - good ball of course.

well of course it's a bad leave he got out. But it's not like he left one that didn't do anything. I don't think it was that bad of judgement

Ah Hughes gets his customary head knock, this time via a dropped catch and a Patterson knee

tom cooper's match consists of being clean bowled by one that pitches outside off and edging a yorker to first slip

Unlike the first innings Carey actually has time to make a case for himself here provided Ferg sticks around. Interesting subplot with Smitteh watching on from the slip cordon.

Anyone reckon Starc's got some of them to reverse this match? If so it'd be the first time I've really seen it with the pink ball.

Starc didn't really get much movement in the first innings or early on in the second but I'm pretty sure that's more a product of him just not pitching it up enough. The one that got Head around the 60 over mark definitely came in to the left hander and the one that got Cooper I think tailed away from the rhb so would suggest reverse.

Starc was 0/48 at one stage so has taken 7/19 with the old ball since the opening stand was broken.

You said it. Warner and Starc get on my **** massively.

I just got up early to watch the Women's Ashes and I see Starc has ripped through them and that SA are absolutely buggered!
