He just wasn't concentrating and turned blind, very poor from a top order batsman.

Nev making runs makes you wonder one of two things: a) is he a great batsman against average attacks, but struggles against better opposition or b) does he perform better with the extra responsibility of being a top 6 bat and if so, why didn't the Aussie team bat him at 6 when M.Marsh was struggling/every innings that Marsh played.

Nevill's issue seems to be entirely of pacing.

Sri Lanka was the perfect example of him being pushed into batting with #intent and looking terrible. Once he was allowed to slow down he was comfortable.

I don't think he'll ever fit what they want out of a 7 or 6 in an Aus team scoring-rate wise.

So annoying though. Have convinced a German girl to like cricket here and when she had to pick a team, she said "Pick the team a SAussie would hate the most" just to mess with me so, of course, Victoria. After day 2, I was ****-talking so much and now she's on top despite not knowing who the **** the guys are (that they won the shield last year was a nice bonus).

Yeah, his old man Bryan was a coach of Melbourne CC for a while too, lovely man.

Sam's the best young kid I've played against in Premier Cricket in my time, since I could refer to an opponent as "young kid" at least. And that's just as a pure batsman, let alone the fact that he keeps.
