Another great round of games.
SA and WA trailed on the first innings and won
Tassie also trialed but almost won, playing out the second draw of the season.
How the hell is Stobo ?
Wells ?
Maddinson 80 & 0 Ave 40 - sums him up I suppose
For Qld Burns, Renshaw, Heazlitt and Labuschagne had a highest score of 38 between them.
Batting
VIc Harris 480, Handscomb 410
SA Weatherald 391, Cooper 387
QLD Khawaja 432, Labuschagne 358
NSW Patterson 382, Cowan 259
Tas Bailey 376, Webster 308
WA Turner 429, Wells 367
Harris still top run scorer, Weatherald is also doing well.
Khawaja is having a good summer, Turner from WA is going well, and Wells is making a run..These three are the only players to have scored two centuries so far this season.
NSW's batting can be seen to be their weakness.Cowan 19th on the list
Bowling
VIC Tremain 27, Holland 27
SA Sayers 29, Richardson 17
QLD George 17, Feldman 15
NSW Copeland 14, Somerville/O'Keefe 11
Tas Bird 18, Stevenson 13
WA Mackin 16, Agar 16
Sayers leading the way and the Croweaters pacers are having an excellent year with Richardson doing well in place of Worrall.
Holland being the leading spinner in the comp this year, surprisingly 3rd overall, without any huge bags like the other spinners on the list.Tremain continuing his good start to the season.
The Bluebaggers have been unable to field a consistent bowling lineup this year.
Mackin had a good game this round taking 11.
Other twirlers
Swepson 10@43, Zampa 9@48, Lyon 7@54
Poor round for batting wicketkeepers - Little Ricky Doran had a brace of 24's, the highest scores of the round.
Halfway through the season
The batting is fairly even only Khawaja, Ashton and Handscomb really standing out.
Holland being the standout in the bowling, has more wickets this year than last year's leading spinner Fawad took all year
Statewise
Vics leading with good depth in bowling and batting Christian and Holland having good seasons so far.
SA led by their pacers are up there again, if only their batsmen could make some runs they would be a real chance.
Qld being carried by their opening bowlers,
NSW are typically all over the shop particularly if Patterson doesn't make runs.
Tassie punching above their weight, lacking depth and relying on Bailey and Bird.
WA occasionally show some form but their senior batsmen have been inconsistent.
Next round 1st Feb
