Australian Domestic Season 2015/16

Lokomotiv

U19 Cricketer
1. Hobart Hurricanes are the most popular Big Bash team in Tasmania.
2. No.
3. Yes.

Great win for QLD.

Sayers 1/111 and 2/51 figures don't look too promising in his bid to make the Test XI. Swepson's 6/174 makes me think that Cam Boyce is going to look for opportunities interstate. Hard to find a state that would really want him unless his connection with the Lokomotiv Hurricanes means he goes to Tassie to help in the Matador. Was anyone watching Renshaw's knock? Can't believe he hit 7 sixes, good to see he is capable of lifting the runrate.
Thank you. Is there no 50-over club competition in Australia?
Tasmania's State team is Tasmanian Tigers? I'd like to get the shirts and caps of Hurricanes and Tigers.

Time 2 retire Ben Rohrer averages 20 in 5 games, and didn't do much better last year, gather Daniel Hughes will be a line ball selection.Nick Larken and Ryan Gibson a walk up start, unless you take a chance on Australia under 19 player Jason Sangha.

From what I've actually seen I'm more of a fan of his batting than his bowling, but fmd has he ever taken some wickets in youth cricket lately. He seems to have been selected in the Futures League side as a bowler too despite not actually doing much with the ball in grade cricket yet, and he described himself recently as "a spinner who can bat." He bowls offies; pretty front on and possesses a doosra.

A lot of his YouTube stuff has been removed, but some of it is still floating around. Here he is taking a bag for NSW Under 19s last year:

Here he is batting as a thirteen year old:

And here he is at sixteen:

Guess it's Australia's turn to have a kid who will probably get banned for chucking and have to come back with a "remodeled action" half a dozen times in his career

If he gets banned a few times he might just focus on his batting. He was always known more as a batsman coming up through the ranks and he scored a ton opening against Pakistan Under 19s three weeks ago.

Kallis will teach him how to deal with the pressures of being the best allrounder in the world and Green will teach him how to bowl off spin with a straight arm. They've got this covered.

I love the Sheffield Shield final.. in theory. In practice it's definitely always a bit ****. I'd sooner experiment with a neutral venue for which the curator was under instruction to prepare a result wicket than I would with scrapping it entirely though.

Even then iirc if its a draw at a neutral venue the team higher on the ladder gets the win automatically? (Thinking the game at Manuka 2013/14)

Regardless I hope they do something before an altogether scrapping to give incentive to the home/team higher on the ladder to actually compete no matter what pitch is served up.

Oh yeah definitely, I'm cool with this. That's why I'd have CA tell the curator to produce some sort of result wicket though. The home team playing really defensively throughout each final is very much enabled by the pitches they prepare first.

Is this the reason they have brought back bonus points ?

If anyone is old enough to remember the reasoning behind introducing the shield final, they will remember that the winner of the shield could be known midway through the season leaving the last 3 or so rounds as dead games.

The only way to stop this happening is to introduce a bonus points system which would skew the table positions away from the actual win/loss results.

Let's see what changes will suggested to the bonus points system.
