Wade. This is similar to when Gilly was piling on the runs for WA in 96 and 97 and 98 but Healy just wasn't going to be dropped. The most important thing about Wade's runs is how many great innings he has played when his team were in deep deep poop, its not one or two knocks either, he has plenty under his belt in the last 3 seasons. Remind me what Paine has done for Tasmania in FC cricket? It shouldn't matter how much the hierarchy rate Paine, if someone is consistently performing amazingly well they deserve a chance at a higher level.

Wade won't play for Australia. To be keeper for Australia in recent years you have to be the 'selectors pet' and Paine certainly is.

It's strange when Paine's 'leadership' abilities are talked up. Has he got any captaincy experience at all? George Bailey has captained Tasmania for the last few years and has barely missed a game for them. I seriously don't why Paine is being praised so much, did he captain Australia A at all?
