Australia to cancel bangladesh again

I do, and it doesn't mean about changing your stance on an issue. It could be as light as simply forgetting past hand occurrences.
Oh dear. Knee-jerk reaction Meaning: An automatic response to something.

Doesn't have anything to do with forgetting past occurrences. A knee jerk reaction would be one of those people saying Bangladesh were terrible and didn't deserve test status to see they have a decentish year and suddenly say they're improving great.

Watched Bangas play Eng and India earlier this year and with the exception of Tamim (who is an exceptional albeit undisciplined talent) they are extremely poor

They really shouldnt be playing any better than A sides so I dont particularly care whether Australia tour or not

Sorry but I'm just not feeling very charitable today
This...
I think the structure of test cricket is very outdated and needs a major overhaul. A bottom placed test team playing and top ranked test team just for the sake of the FTP is pretty lame and just isn't a contest, which is something that's largely hurting test cricket.
A 2 tier test structure and test championship are ideas most likely to ensure that no game of test cricket is being played just for the sake of it, but ICC needs to find an effective way to implement these changes, any superficial changes are hardly gone change the current situation.

I've yet to be convinced that a two tier test structure is going to work. By not allowing a team like New Zealand to play against the bigger teams in the test arena how are we encouraging NZ fans to start watching and youngsters to start taking up the sport?

Like an automatic response to BD beating Kiwis 4-0... Whilst forgetting how they performed against England?

You gave the more broad meaning, and I was being more specific about what we are discussing.

@Athlai: Your 1 smiley responses are annoying tbh. I have already posted back at your roll-eyes smiley, not actually knowing what you were getting at. So please stop doing it and actually use words. Thnx.

NZ are currently second to last and doing alright against India in India. Thoughts?

It was the "huh" face, because you really missed the meaning of knee-jerk reaction entirely as Themer noted.

But they performed rather well? Even the English commentators in the Sky box remarked at how well they'd done especially how Tamim, Shakib and Mahamamammdullah (sp?) had stood up to England.

If you're expecting them to suddenly start winning matches it isn't going happen. If you;re looking at the broader picture ie how they actually performed regardless of the result then you can see improvements.

I agree with you but I am talking about a knee-jerk reaction about a different thing: About that those calls didn't exist in the first place, and oh boy they sure did.

@Inny Binny: That chart shows what really? You need that orange and blue line to be more closer to each other, not a 2x margin.
Do you not understand what the word 'improving' means? It means getting better over time. And it's pretty obvious that the difference between Bangladesh and other teams has been getting smaller over time since the start of 2007, so they've been improving, even if they still suck.

I take the meaning of "improving" as something substantial. They made their debut at 2000, obviously they were going to be **** house then. And obviously they would have got better at some aspects of their game. It is only natural. But saying they are improving is over the top.

Yes I concur. Its well known that if you get better at something it isn't known as improving.

Utterly, utterly confused.

Getting better would only be natural for any team making their debut at Test level, especially in their first few years. But they are showing of making no progress and improvement despite being a Test team for quite some time.
