Lol no.
Starc won’t even make Indian side .

This would be combined bowling line up for Indian conditions:

Bumrah
Cummins
Jadeja
Ashwin .

Hazlewood will replace Ashwin in Australia.
Australia hasn’t played a test in India for 6 years

Cummins, Starc & Hazelwood have taken more than 500 test wickets between them since then

Anyway, nobody is disputing that Ashwin & Jadeja are much better than our spinners in India

The argument is whether we replace one or more guys who have taken hundreds of test wickets with bowlers who aren’t proven at fc level

And India played in Australia twice in those 6 years and Starc being garbage was the only constant feature in both the series.

Starc is the worst pace bowler in BG trophy in last 10 years . You can check stats for yourself.

Australia is so going to crush us :( Look at the form of the batsmen. Everyone is scoring double hundreds for fun.

Not sure of “crush “part but this is the first time since 2004 , we are not favourites to win a Test series at home .
In 2012 even though we lost , we started the series as favourites.

So Australia are not 55-45 favourites for this series ?
Their bowling hasn't been shown to be better than India's to even consider them as the better team vs India. And in this case they're playing away from home against the best home team at the moment. As bad as it might be to miss Pant, Pant is ultimately not as valuable as the bowlers. If every single bowler falls down and gets hurt then you can entertain this.

If stuff is tied at 1 all, why can't Australia just pick a nobody who chucks and give them full licence to chuck as much as they can. So they pick up a bag of wickets and then get reported and never come back, but who cares...the win is secured. Can umpires still do something about this on field?

This is what Pakistan tried with Hafeez in ICC trophy ?

This is exactly what happened in 2012 series vs ENG in Test 2 and 3 .
No matter how good your bowling attack is , if you aren’t putting atleast 350 on board in 1st innings, opposition team always has a chance .
You are underestimating the crappiness of our batting line up without Pant.

We didn't have the bowlers though? England played well, and credit goes to them but it wasn't like our bowlers were superb either.
