I remember I was already broke when it ended. Spent big on Lillee, Barnes and a few other big names. Reckon I had Lara, Hobbs and Kallis as well. Got to dig up that thread and see one of these days.

Yes, Weldone's idea is an interesting one, but not sure quite how to implement it. Will perhaps give it some thought.

Next draft I think the penalty clause will definitely be relaxed somewhat.

I have an idea for a draft. It's based on the Scorecard draft, but differs slightly in that every player starts off from a scorecard entirely of their choosing from any point in history, and you then carry on picking players from your last scorecard every round instead of going from the scorecard of the person who picked before you.

It could lead to interesting tactics like people choosing to start off from an obscure era just to have a good pick of all the players from that era without others also nicking those players. If many participants start off at the same era (say the 90-00's), it'll only dilute the player pool available to them. Since it'll be more of a competition with ones-self rather than exclusively with other participants, I call it the 'Playing with yourself' draft.

 Trust you to come up with something like that.

Sounds like it might be challenging. I'm in if you start it up.

I hadn't planned on doing a sim for this - should really do a voting thread though I guess. Need 1st choice teams for that though.

Have been preparing the teams for the sim, but so far have only got half the teams entered, so it should probably start this weekend

I think you could use PEWS' standardised averages (the latest one) - otherwise Himanv's opening bowlers will have bowling averages of 10 and 16 respectively... :)
