Asian fast bowlers since Wasim Akram's retirement

PaulLennon

U19 Vice-Captain
Asif was better as well. Had a short career so I expected Bumrah to overtake him but it looks like Bumrah's career might be short too.
Bumrah has already overtaken him.

Asif - 106 @ 24.36
Bumrah - 128 @ 21.99

Shoaib - 178 @ 25.7
Shami - 229 @ 27.71

In ODIs

Shami - 187 @ 24.14
Bumrah - 146 @ 23.3
Shoaib - 247 @ 24.98

It's Bumrah, and a bunch of sad, not quites, unfortunately.

Although I think a lot has to do with Asian bowlers tending to specialize or prefer Limited overs format (Malinga and Umar Gul are 2 right off the top of my head whose stock rises extraordinarily if you make it not just Tests).

We don't talk about Mohammad Asif.

Bumrah's economy rate in ODIs is insane. No other asian bowler since Wasim's retirement (and none in the world going around currently) has the level of control that he has.
