No. Verity, Underwood, Wilfred Rhodes, Bishan Singh Bedi and so forth. I don't even particularly remember the hand either ngl.
I don't think the logical reasons hold up as much as some believe.

Very logical reasons.
At the end of the war in 1948, the greatest bowler of all time was rated to be William O'Reilly.
If he or what he did doesn't count, especially in such a batsman friendly era. Then why should the rest of them?
And we certainly can't exclude Bradman, Hammond, Hutton can we?

Kumble time NZ didn't had as good batting power during Ashwin time.Plus Ashwin only played 1 there where Kimble played 3

Ashwin's Away average of 30 is because of WI.

but Ashwin and Kumble had different results against SA,Aus and Eng.Ashwin is home>away while Kumble away>home.so it could mean decause of different bowling style they perform differently in pace vs spin conditions.It is like Warne vs Murali case where one is good at pace friendly condition while another is not

WI, SL and BD don't matter at all. Averaging 45+ in 18 matches in SA and AUS is too big of a hole to overlook.
And It's not looking like he could rectify it either.

Kumble at home had to deal with flat pitches in the 2000s.
If you look at his 90s record when pitches were better it is comparable to Ashwin and that too without DRS.
Kumble away overall is just better.

Not putting a horse in the race here but I won't really take Ashwin's England average seriously, he was a complete defense bowler here, it was just the WTC final in extreme bowler friendly conditions, both times he came over here to play as a spinner against England he was basically a defensive stock bowler with no impact.

I've been saying the same thing yet get so much flak. Ashwin in England was a total support bowler.
