iirc it was another Atherton/McGrath situation with those two.
And knowing Bradman thought very highly of Morris, I’m sure that had some impact on his rating of Bedser.

The difference between the Atherton/ McGrath and Morris/ Bedser situation was Morris actually did score lots of runs against Bedser as well.

I think he’s hard to run a line through when comparing to players of other eras. His raw numbers aren’t great but by all reports he was fantastic. He doesn’t sort of stand out from others pre-WW1 as much as the likes of Barnes and Grace so he’s harder to rate imho
He's definitely in this argument, but I really dunno where to rate him overall.
