Had a few secondary and fitness pops, hoping my trainee bat is going to pop on his primary soon.

Decent start to this FC match so far, hopefully I can get a 2nd FC win in a row

The other team is throwing the game. Bowled him out for 18. I hope I bat for the rest of the day, I only set my total for 450. I need the gate receipts.

Solid, if Dove and Byfield can stick around for a while I should be able to get close to the declaration target of 500

FFS, my bowlers have been S.T. Ruggling to take wickets today -

End of Over 82 (Maiden). Carlton Hotspurs: 244-5, runrate=2.98
Mullis 11-3-35-2
Pace* 45 (99 balls)
Makana 1 (10 balls)
Last Wicket: Giddings st. Gray b. Ralph 124 (FOW: 243/5)

For the most part, my bowlers are better than his batsmen, yet to no avail. Although, it is a flat pitch. Just hoping I can bundle him out cheaply now.

Apparently I set the declaration target higher then 500, I'll change it to 650 and hopefully I'll only have to bat once.

Gay! 9/314 at the end of the first day. Seriously, I know it's a flat pitch, but my bowlers are a lot better than his batsmen. I've set my declaration target to 500 so, should I reach it, I'll have a ~180 run lead. That'll be the hard part though... he gets exceptional seam (5 seamers) :( At least conditions are conducive to big scores.

Sturdy performance from my boys this morning on a cracked wicket against a pretty good bowling attack:

End of Over 20 (4 runs, 4lb). The Heath CC: 43-1, runrate=2.15
Bourne 1-0-4-0
Caldwell* 10 (41 balls)
Grant 14 (58 balls)

Last Wicket: Bartlett c. Roberton b. Dixon 12 (FOW: 15/1)

Quite pleased with that - with Kepler to come as well, we should make a respectable score. Expecting to lose this tbh - anything else would be a bonus.

End of Over 21 (Maiden). rakshi: 34-6, runrate=1.62
Darby 11-4-18-4
Sekani* 21 (43 balls)
Alsop 0 (3 balls)

Take that bot!!

Lost Caldwell for 17 which was disappointing, but we continue to make solid progress:

End of Over 32 (2 runs). The Heath CC: 91-2, runrate=2.84
Bourne 7-1-24-0
Kepler* 16 (15 balls)
Grant 35 (96 balls)

Last Wicket: Caldwell b. Oak 17 (FOW: 71/2)

If we can hold out till lunch without losing more wickets, I'll be really pleased with the session.

The players are off the field for the change of innings.

End of Over 33 (Maiden). rakshi: 55-10, runrate=1.67
Elliot 4-3-1-3
Ogden* 1 (21 balls)

Sorry I didn't just set 360 now and have it over with today. Shouldn't take long to finish it tomorrow now though.

Dead Badger

State 12th Man
Set my orders while half-dead with fatigue, resulting in no genuine wicketkeeper. Not doing brilliantly on an uneven pitch against a truly terrible team:

End of Over 35 (4 runs). Beard XI: 178-3, runrate=5.09
Hanson 4-0-20-0
Ganfield* 40 (79 balls)
Janes 89 (78 balls)
Last Wicket: Platt b. Sandwith 34 (FOW: 84/3)

Bah - held out till lunch but Grant falls in the first over afterwards. At least Kepler's still there.

End of Over 36 (1 runs). The Heath CC: 101-3, runrate=2.81
Bourne 9-1-28-1
Kepler* 24 (32 balls)
Sutton 0 (0 balls)

Last Wicket: Grant c. Oak b. Bourne 37 (FOW: 101/3)

Edit: First Sutton, and now Kepler goes after making his 50. Will do well to get any batting points now - 149/5
