Might be one of the last games with Fuller's side in my OD league this week, he's currently top of the table, and looks like getting promoted. Been a long and hard fought rivalry that he's often got the better of, score-wise and thumb-wise so it'll be nice to get one back from the **** in what looks like our final official encounter.
Dire.

Very happy with that, though my bowlers underperformed again.

Last Wicket: Needham c. Kepler b. Woods 8 (FOW: 10/1)

Interesting game here. Up against Fambridge (the guy with 60+ people in his squad) and he's playing his strongest team. I made the noob mistake of checking the weather in Sussex (sunny) when the game is at his place in Essex (humid) so my bowlers are more defensive than I'd have liked. Woods and Turner are keeping it very tight but would like more wickets. Their bowling is strong, so I'm hoping that Caldwell, Kepler, Kemp and Knight will be up to the task on a cracked wicket, because there isn't much after that.

Oleary on fire again, taking 5-12 (his fourth five-fer of the OD season) as the opponents are all out for 37. Won't be needing a Sehwag-esque effort from anyone today, then.

Should be no problems here against this bot.

Wrapped up my match easily against an opponent who appears to have given up on OD, because his team wasn't as rubbish as this in the first half of the season. Either way, the NRR boost ought to see me to second spot in the league, which is nice.

Last Wicket: Night b. Patton 8 (FOW: 145/4)

FFS, I should have a bot gone by now on a dusty track.

EDIT:
Code:
41.5 1 Patton to Singh lali
Slower delivery, slogged to the off, extra cover fielding.
41.4 W Patton to Shelley
Great diving catch by Whibread. Shelley thought it was four!
41.3 W Patton to Emblen
OUT! Thin edge and Zithulele takes a textbook catch.
41.2 W Patton to Patterson
Well that delivery has simply blown Patterson's house down like it was made of straw! Patton is the big bad wolf who's made this little piggy go 'wee wee wee' all the way back to the pavilion. What big ears he has...
41.1 1 Patton to Naidoo
Slogs the ball straight to Fordham fielding at mid off and they run hard for a quick single. Good running there.

End of Over 41: 159-6, runrate=3.88, reqrunrate=14.67 (290-2)
Ross 6-1-23-3
Naidoo* 36 (50 balls)
Patterson 1 (1 balls)

Last Wicket: Turner c. Donaghey b. Ross 0 (FOW: 157/6)

40.6 1 Ross to Naidoo
Edged wide of second slip and they'll pick up one.
40.5 . Ross to Naidoo
That one's nipped back off the seam and nearly cut him in half!
40.4 1 Ross to Patterson
    Steered to third man.
40.3 W Ross to Turner
It's gone high in the air... a straight forward catch. He's out!
40.2 W Ross to Skelton
A lapse of concentration and Zithulele has stolen his bails whilst Skelton crept forwards out of the crease.
40.1 1 Ross to Naidoo
Clipped nicely off his legs for a single, Ross just strayed a bit down leg side there.
Bout time.

Fambridge racked up a decent score against me, in spite of a disciplined bowling performance from Turner, but Kepler, Caldwell and Kemp batted beautifully to see us through. Pleased with that win :)

Kind of happy I lost my last two OD matches. The league turned from boring as bat**** to very interesting:

Beat Borderliners for the fourth time this season, was slightly closer than previous matches but I won by five wickets in the end. Second GFI in six days, with a third to come on Sunday for the Cup final. Quite a few players are struggling with PFL (Watkins is at fresh, a couple at lively), but I think should win the final regardless. Bowled Flintstones (the other cup finalist) out for 66, 141, 116 and 31 in our most recent OD meetings, so hoping for more of the same.

interesting, adamc, fkn interesting.

today Kevin Towse, Whenuapai's spin bowling sensation, took whenuapai one day record bowling figures of 8/23 (9), beating the season 1 record of 8/25 set by James Holmes. He backs this up with the first class record of 9/18 he set a few days earlier. What a talent. Jeithoon < Towse undoubtedly.

Also, Adam. noticed NZ nat Mark Duncan has been listed for 14mil. phen/elite 25yo medium pacer who would give me the edge i need to destroy jaffna, not that i already didn't have the edge with towse in my side. But I can't help but feel 14mil is a bit steep though. But I have reached a point of not caring anymore. hmm, so this price probably won't be an issue.

Need to get past the first round remember Nibbs. If you think Manju will be walkover, your just setting yourself up for another Pup CC/Jaffna Jets humilation. What Towse stats btw?

Got bored this morning so I brought this Sri Lankan spin bowling all rounder. Means I can get rid of the last of my medicore players. Should come in handy with the bat and bowl when I rest my main players to get their PFLs to decent levels. Only problem is that his PFLs are shot too.

Not bad. Not really trainable though - secondaries suck. Would've been better getting a comp/med in either bowling or batting tbh.

He only a 2nd XI players and one that would bat at 7 or 8, and bowl at No 5. So just feels a gap and should perform better then the med/med with resp stamina spinner he replaced. Woeful secondaries are ok against bots. Don't spend that much time when I buy 2nd XI players, just pick the first guy I see on the market.
