slog monsters XI: 171 (88.1)

The Heath CC: 607/2 (119) Grant 250, Mclean 242*

slog monsters XI: 39/2 (12) Woods 2/18

Love it when you get things tactically perfect, even when it's only against weak opposition. I wanted this one to go to three days as I'm a bit stretched financially after all the signings I've made recently, and I managed to time the declaration nicely, giving Woods a chance to prise out their openers tonight and hopefully finish them off tomorrow morning in humid conditions. :)

Snodin 329* (377)
Todd 187 (267)

Those two put on 317 for the 4th wicket (the West Indian came in at 5).

Swingers 42
Bardle 16-13-5-6
Bonner 7-5-2-3

Both of my bowlers taking more wickets than runs conceded.

Swingers 73/8
Bardle 12-4-21-6

Jamees 999ers need 2 wickets to win. Swingers need about a trillion runs and 10 wickets to win.

A slightly mountanous task lies ahead of me

Although this would probably be more advised :surrender

I won by an Innings and 255 runs on my first ever game. My captain, who opened the batting, made 296 as I declared for 653. I got them all out for 170 odd in the first innings, put them back into bat, and got them out for 280 odd I think.

Just had one of our best FC wins.

Bardon Wests CC - 405/10 off 114.3 overs
Mckenna 149 (159)
Tandy 105 (169)
Atkinson 50 (114)
Smart 6/91 (32.3)
Greene 2/84 (30)

Brackenhurst - 650/6dec. off 104 overs
Burnip 229 (221)
Browne 182 (195)
Hindle 83 (95)
Nott 53* (56)
Mercer 2/89 (20)
Lloyd 2/134 (22)

Bardon Wests CC - 195/10 off 66.3 overs
Mckenna 59* (118)
Sellars 45 (82)
Atkinson 42 (84)
Greene 5/43 (20.3)
Smart 4/46 (21)

Awesome batting by Burnip and Browne and then Smart and Greene's bowling partnership was sublime. Timed our declarations and such perfectly, enabling us to bowl at them in humid conditions early on the third day and being able to use Greene on a last day deck. Hamlin failed in our innings and yet we still made runs which is extremely pleasing.

End of Over 68 (4 runs). Marxistene: 206-10, runrate=3.03 (1st Inn: 355-2 dec)
Lead by 213 runs. (Jaffna Jets 348-10)
Matharu 16-2-51-2
Wickremasinghe* 4 (19 balls)
Jeithoon got a 5-fer and run through their middle order, so gun. Not sure we will be able to chase that in two session, but will be happy with a draw anyway.

Played my second XI; made a good, competetive showing in our first innings, only to get rolled for 70 in the second. DTSTL.

Intriguing cricket. 64 runs or five wickets in 25 overs.

28 overs by my count. We are ****ed. Still will keep 1st spot with a lost anyway. It just nice having a competitive FC match for change. Loving it tbh.

Isn't it 40 overs in the last session? And tea was at 35, so there should be 75 to play, which means

Code:
End of Over 55 (7 runs). Jaffna Jets: 167-5, runrate=3.04 (1st Inn: 348-10)
Trail by 46 runs. (Marxistene 355-2 dec & 206-10)
Moodley	10-2-29-0
Ellis*	22 (29 balls)
Evans	4 (14 balls)
there's 20 left to play.

Have you as favourite after Ellis' slogs, however.

Thought it was 35 each session. Anyway I don't think the overs will matter. It will come down to wickets or runs. Can't see Evans and the rest of lower order lasting long. Their best bowler should come back soon as well.

Yep Moodley back on should be interesting now.

Heh - one an over needed for the tie and they're scoring at exactly ... that ... rate. I think your batsmen are playing games with you. :)
