Knocked out of the cup today...it was the expected result. I think my last 6 bastmen mustered about 10 between them. Luckily 2 and 3 managed 70-odd each.

Had a fine win in the FC comp on Thursday though (just catching up, a bit behind):

I would change the fielding to a stamina, and give him the fielding net soon, woeful stamina is bad.

in other news whenuapai cc finally won a one day league match, so we are back in the hunt for the III.10 crown which is a relief after beating former I.1 side crushers by 9 wickets. tomorrow we've got another nice and easy cup match which will help us press on into the 5th round.

A few early scares in both innings, but our extra depth and quality came through in the end. Not happy with Jeithoon's bowling performance. His worse match in a long time. Happy with the ratings considering it was PAN. Amazing the impact Murali is having on ratings, my middle order went up by three levels. Seam and spin went up by 2 each. Hopefully I get a decent side next week to warrant a GFI, should crack the 150 mark atleast.

Run in the Cup will end on Sunday one feels. Don't probably deserve to have come this far anyhow looking at the great sides already out. Was good fun though.

Got a home match finally in the cup. Big question is whether to GFI or not. Got another D3 side, but they look pretty decent. I have played them before in Twenty20 and smashed them. But it looks like they improved a fair bit. Probably will go with a slow pitch, any thoughts?

Dwyer tied a cup match once iirc.

Decent cup win against a similar side to mine. My boys managed to get them AO for 173, but we struggled to score runs against them. My gun bat got only 48 off 100 balls, and we finally finished them off with a loss of 3 wickets in the 45th over.
