Well, today certainly didn't go to plan:

1. Win toss.
2. Bowl opponents out cheaply.
3. Bat out the day, hitting 400 or so.
4. Declare tomorrow, after giving #6, on shocking batting form, a bit of a bat.

3a. Openers put on 210, one getting a ton and the other pretty close
3b. Reed and Sandwith put on almost 300 at over 6 an over
4. Hirst declares with ONE SODDING OVER LEFT

Oh well. Some you win, some you...win more easily than expected.

Hirst managed a wicket before the close, giving him match figures of 13.3-9-5-8. Will give him and Brooker a rest tomorrow, and see if I can get them out with just my lesser bowlers and John.

Bad couple of days in BT for me, forgot to set orders for my FC match last night so some of my first XI players are wasting PFL, and as it's a home match I want to make it last three days. Also realised I've had my 17yo's on the wrong primary nets for probably the last five weeks, so as well as wasting ten nets I can't sell them for another few weeks until they pop. Oh, and no pops on Monday. (y)

Forgot to set a higher declaration total so we declared at 600 with Drummond left on 60 odd not out. We bowled them out cheaply and thus, we don't get gates for tomorrow

Weerappuli took 7-7 in the match, Gleeson 6-13, Holmes 5-59 and Murphy 2-53.

Bongers hit 202, Thomson 132, Fordham was run out on 95 with Drummond left on 64*.

Have a bot in the OD match on Friday, so playing my second XI. Good rest ahead of our big match against Cymru.
