End of Over 7 (1 runs). Surfers: 9-5, runrate=1.29 (1st Inn: 16-10)
Trail by 383 runs. (Central Districts 408-1 dec)
Hodge 4-3-1-5

The only other bowler that's bowled is comp-resp (fresh pfl). The other 3 are med-comp, remarkable-strong and prof-woe. Neither have touched the ball though.

Day One

Brackenhurst -
307/5 off 110 overs
Browne 104* (194)
Read 91 (228)
Corniel 35 (135)
Bardle 23* (27)
Parnell 3/104 (27)

Captain Browne leads again. Incredible player. Am resting seven players and just trying to see the three days revenue, and hopefully get full batting and some bowling points. Corniel was excellent opening, Read scored but looked uneasy and Bardle is going the bash. Will let them go on for as long as they want, as my bowling should be extremely poor.

Rested my best players for the FC match I was versing the best side and expected to lose.

oz fans XI won the toss and elected to bat.
First Innings of: oz fans XI
Total (60.2 overs, 10 wickets) 119
Saunders 47*(160)
Determined innings from Saunders.

In reply the opposition strangely declared at just 210.
First Innings of: Achmid's Soul
Total (45.0 overs, 3 wickets declared.) 210
Tranter 2-29

Second Innings of: oz fans XI
Total (4.0 overs, 1 wickets) 12
Want to at least set them 200 or so to chase but highly unlikely.

deacon the pick of the bowlers with 3 - 56 of 22 overs.
my new spinner took 1 - 66 of 21 overs with 4 maidens. not bad.
hopefully pick up the last few wickets and then bat for aslong as i can.

Achmid's Soul eh? In my OD comp. Seem to have been focusing solely on the OD matches, so they probably want to save fitness. Am playing them on Friday. (N)

Wow. He's even higher than that now, nearly at 900k BTR, with a 400k p/w wage. That is one spectacularly mismanaged team he belongs to. How on earth do they stay afloat, I wonder?

Edit: curse you Nnanden, sneaking in and making my post look weird.

Expecting to get beaten this week, but if I can stretch it to 3 days and get some batting points I'll be pleased. Won the toss and am fielding (flat pitch/cloudy day), the next two days are sunny so that should help my batsmen stay in.

Edit: I literally do not believe it...

Hardy (Comp/Med) has just got this guy out for 1. That should bring his average down a bit (currently 231.67 in FC cricket)

Given up on FC, so I played a 2nd XI side. Doing pretty well so far:

Code:
End of Over 86 (2 runs). Tamil Eelam CC: 235-3, runrate=2.73
Ramsden 16-3-41-0
Lisbie* 65 (156 balls)
Mcauley 102 (221 balls)

Last Wicket: Judd b. De bruyn 34 (FOW: 93/3)

I'm playing a half-decent side (as all but one are in my league), but resting Gibb and Brooker (and Fish, but that's not unusual) as they're knackered. A bright start left the opposition 6/2, on a flat pitch (I expected green) on a sunny day (humid and cloudy forecast)...but they've recovered to 38/2 after 16 overs. Should be a long hard slog in the field, then.

I'm expecting a draw out of this one.
