Looks like Pob's recently set transfer record is about to go...

Plays for: Flannel County Stamina:	superb W/Keeping:	mediocre
Age: 21 years old Batting:	exceptional Concentration:	sensational
BT Rating: 170,778 Bowling:	wonderful Consistency:	phenomenal
Deadline: 14/10/2006 18:28 Fielding:	mediocre
Probably the best overall player I've ever seen. Fielding is a little low but with those stats, I think you could sacrifice it.
7.98m, new record by some distance. A lot of the top end players seem to be going for prices more in line with what they're worth now, although prof/strong type players still seem massively overpriced to me. Going to be increasingly difficult for teams to improve through using the market, especially for newer teams given that half-decent strongs now go for 1m+.

Progress score against the Vlpers

End of Over 19: 113-3, runrate=5.95
Allison 5-0-32-0
Drummond* 64 (56 balls)
Kumar 13 (16 balls)

Last Wicket: Khurshid b. Kinsella 5 (FOW: 78/3)

Pretty even i guess, i ended up playing an absymal bowler (Allison) as my 5th bowler by mistake.

If strong players are going for 1m plus i think i might consider selling one of my strong bats, so i have an extra net.

Depends on the secondaries obviously but generally someone with competent+ concentration and stamina will go for 1m+, maybe even mediocre.

Reporter's Summary
The Sportal XI Pup
Top Order: woeful mediocre
Middle Order: feeble feeble
Lower Order: worthless worthless
Seam Bowling: woeful mediocre
Spin Bowling: woeful feeble
Fielding: woeful abysmal

MOTM: Pollard

Best Ever Middle Order Ratings! Pathetic Though haha!

Ive Only been playing for 5 months!

Edit : Your Rating are not that much ahead of mine?

Yours

Top Order : Respectable ( Much Better)
Middle Order : Mediocre ( Only One Level Better)
Seam Bowling : Mediocre (Same Level)
Spin Bowling : Competent (Much Better)

Mine

Top Order : Mediocre
Middle Order : Feeble
Seam : Mediocre
Spin : Feeble

I dont see the huge huge difference considering you have been playing for 5 months longer, I mean its obvious your top order is a lot better same with your spin bowling but each team has it's strengths and at the moment my team is on par with you in Seam Bowling even though I have played for 5 months less.

Pretty confortable win in the end for the VIpers, say playing an abysmal bowler was the difference, but my other bowlers also bowled pies.

Vindscreen VIpers - 4/339

Drummond 101(87)
Kumar 134(110)
Azheruddin 63(63)
Kinsella 2/53(10)

Jaffna Jets - 2/318

Clayton 154(137) - motm
Quintin 73(101)
Ellis 62(49)

Code:
Vindscreen VIpers Jaffna Jets
Top Order: competent competent
Middle Order: mediocre mediocre
Lower Order: abysmal worthless
Seam Bowling: mediocre feeble
Spin Bowling: mediocre mediocre
Fielding: feeble woeful
Very happy with that batting performance, first time i've gotten over 300 against a mediorce plus bowling attack. Also Clayton first ever hundred, looks like he could be a decent opener. Once i've finished training Kinsella stamina looks like he will walk back into the first XI, even if it means playing three spinners. Probably the last straw for Priyantha been really crap this season hardly taken any wickets and gone for over six an over too much.

Thanks for the game Alex and well done to your buys. :)

can anyone else not get on?
May have just been a temporary blip - I couldn't get on earlier either, but it seems to be fine now. Quick, even ;)

I went out and got a little bit drunk last night, and ended up with a mate crashing over. Needless to say, I didn't set team orders, so it's my default lineup playing at normal:

End of Over 46: 161-8, runrate=3.50
Gibb 8-1-25-2
Rowley* 2 (5 balls)
Roach 30 (52 balls)

Against Winterbourne Reformed CC in the cup - at my patch, and I'm bowling first.

Looks as though my bowlers have done their bit...it's the batsmen I'm worried about - an uneven pitch, on a cloudy day, and I think my default lineup has most of my top order set to attacking.

Could get skittled here

UPDATE: Another wicket! Shouldn't be chasing too much more than 170.

Nice collapse from Jamee, chaseable but I'm pretty sure, going on recent history, that I'll get rolled for next to nothing.

Aldred's run through Central Districts.

Code:
28.6 W Aldred to Hodge
Gowshall has pulled off a blinder. That ball looked like it was behind him when he caught it.
28.5 W Aldred to Sambrook
Bowled! The long walk back to the pavilion begins now. Sambrook was well beaten there!
28.4 W Aldred to Herd
Herd steps to square leg, closes his eyes and swings the bat. Total village!!
Aldred 5-0-18-7 of 130-7 when he came off.
