Just bought a 17 year old for 41k, with absolutely no bidding war, due to the slowness. Mediocre stamina, competent/woeful bat, competent/worthless bowl. Given his wage of over 800, he should be close in at least one of those disciplines; will get one to pop to respectable, then sell him on for a nice profit. He's not appearing in my squad ATM though...

Now my planned distraction for the day has gone breasts-up, I'm left to dwell upon all the things which FC was supposed to be blocking out!
1. The power-steering hydraulics on our car are clunking alarmingly, causing me an acute stabbing pain in the hip! The nice people at the Saab dealership assure me that my call is indeed very important to them - However apparently not important enough to actually ****ing answer it!
2. I've got "Hotdog, jumping frog, Albuquerque!" looping over and over and over in my head, and I want to lobotomise myself with the letter-opener!
3. I've sent a work-experience girl out to get pictures and interviews from The Junior Ryder Cup at the Celtic Manner, partly so I could have watched my FC game if it had have been working, and partly because work-experience girls just ain't as much fun once you're married.

Not sure if it's happening in the UK, but it happened in some of the leagues in Australia; guess I was lucky that I got to see every ball of my game, thanks to the fact that I had no exams today. I am most certainly not an Englishman!!! If required, I can provide genealogical data to verify that I am Welsh, going back at least four generations on both sides. I do have some Belgian ancestry - And whilst being descended from a country famous for very little else apart from beer and child abuse is nothing whatsoever of which to be proud - It is a long way from being English!
Retract or my lawyers will be in touch! And next time Mark has a pop, you're on your own Sunshine:-) Might have guessed that there's still no action in my match!
