Nah, his wages aren't that high. He'd be middle, maybe low-middle competent. Respectable as a skill (regardless of secondaries) is somewhere around 640, 650. If you're looking for a trainee though, go for it. Speaking of which, I just bought this guy, as a keeper/batsman and captain for the future.

Here's a GMs explanation of the FC bowling orders, in case anyone isn't sure:

Hover your mouse over 'Spell Orders'

Max Overs / Min Overs / Max Runrate

These are guidelines you can set to your captain.
A spell is a period of bowling. Unlike in one-day games, there are no limits on how many overs a bowler can bowl.

In real life, fast bowlers have short spells of maybe 4 to 8 overs. But if they are taking lots of wickets the captain will let them bowl for longer.

A spinner can bowl almost endlessly... more than 20 overs in a spell. But if you have a high stamina spinner, and he is being hit for 10 an over, you want your captain to take him off! So you can suggest how many runs you think that bowler should be allowed to concede per over.

Case Study

Max Overs / Min Overs / Max Runrate

e.g. 8-4-6

His spell will be at least 4 overs, at most 8 overs, but will end if he concedes more than 6 runs an over.

I wouldn't mind Whitehorne bowling 20 over spells really...

Yeah, noticed that myself. Wonder if that means anything about its significance in OD games.

Anyway, just in terms of what you quoted, I'm kinda confused now about with what he said about if they're taking wickets. Say my fast bowler is in the last over of his spell, and suddenly takes a hattrick, would the captain keep bowling him regardless of what I'd said?

every time i enter my FC team + tactics i go back look at it to see if it's right and i.ve got 2 Bissmires, both opening.
