Paddy, have you looked at how much decent respectable primaries are going for at the moment and comp/comp all-rounders? They're costing a fortune, you could get 2-3 tops for the money you start with.

Much wiser in my eyes to get 3 trainees, give them 3-4 nets each and then buy comps to stack around them and then watch them pop. :)

There's another sensational bowler on the market going for 4.7m or something. Once he's sold, the top four transfers will be spin bowling allrounders.

hmm, of the teams that i can see (there are a couple who haven't played any friendlies) there aren't any top teams in my first few games in either discipline, but there aren't many guaranteed wins either. A good start would seem essential.

Cheers Jamee. I tried that but obviously didn't hold it over long enough. :)

Are they working for other people? I set my orders, clicked Submit and went back to them straight away and they are all messed up and shifted down one and I have my quality batsmen down twice. :cool2:

Wow, I have no idea about these. And I just realised I'm not sure who I should play as an opener, cause I'm thinking that it'd be best to have my best bat, Griffin, somewhere in the middle order.

Anyway, what do you guys think about bowling options. Is four main bowlers enough, do you think? I'm playing one allrounder in Tedstone, and I'd prefer to only have to play three extra bowlers. I also have Drench in the team, who's a med/comp bowler and should be able to tie up an end for a bit if needed.

This better get sorted out soon because my cup game starts in under 20 hours and some before that obviously yet it's still busted.

I'm going in with 5 bowlers Andy for two reasons:

1) I don't really have any decent batsmen to come in if I drop a bowler.
2) My all-rounder is my worst bowler and he's not getting dropped so playing him, may as well bowl him. As I have two other spinners though, his workload will be somewhat less than the others as I expect him to bat at 6.

I think I'll use 6 bowlers to protect Allens fitness.

What do the last columns mean

What are people setting as Declaration target

Read the posts previous to this one, I asked same question and got an answer.

How many overs in spell - minimum number of overs in spell - RR in spell before being taken off.
