He's not bad, but he'd only be top 50 or so really. Still, if I had 3.5m, sure.

That's definitely one of the better starting squads I've seen.

In terms of a 1st XI, I'd be looking at something like:
Carrick
Birchall
Spooner
Pa
Cooke
Westwood (b5)
Os (b1)
Sam
Piper(b3)
Warner (b4)
Tebogo(b2)

Os as captain, Sam as keeper.

Not so sure about training, but I'd have Piper on a whole lot of nets (at the bare minimum, one bowling net, and one fielding net [fielding not only helps increase a players' fielding skill, but also helps improve their secondaries, like concentration and consistency, and Piper could do with some better consistency]).

You serious? Have you seen the crap they gave out to Greg, Tharmi, and to a lesser extent, me? He's got one respectable, one proficient, and one very good trainee, who's one net away from respectable bowling.

That's a pretty good squad. Mine had a few half-decent bats and virtually no bowling. A couple of good junior players as well, you should go far with that Matt.

EDIT: I'll play my second XI against yours on Sunday if you like, my team is Zebras.

Mine was a little bit better then that minus the proficient

The proficient has abysmal stamina tho. Slightly interesting fact is that CW members have both of the Gary Tebogos currently in existence. Also the 18yo isn't automatically one net away from respectable bowling, they could easily take 2-3 weeks if the stamina is near popping.

Erm, yeah, ok, don't know how to set up a game though so you'll have to do most of the work. :p

Man, if you guys had seen my starting squad...two strongs and a prof/prof allrounder. A lot of the first season teams seem to have had unnaturally good squads for some reason, you latecomers not so lucky.

I'd advise you to read this, Matt. It's a post by Adam, not all of the advice is relevant (it is nearly a year old), but it'll do your team good to read it.

Most of that's rubbish now, game has too much since then. Someone ought to write an updated version.
