Hmmm, comfortably second best in my FC League in both directions, but looking at my OD league, I'm going straight back down most likely.

EDIT: Haha, just noticed one of the teams in the OD league has got Ricky Louis, one of Adam's old players.

well i think i have a realistic chance of coming 3rd in my V.123 but the guy will come first is an absolute freak i mean he just bought a player for 3 mill and hes in V i mean come on he has to be higher than that anyway apart from him i should do all right.

Points System.

The points scoring system for the First Class leagues is as follows:
For a win 14 points are awarded to the winning side.
For a tie 7 points are awarded to each side.
For a draw 4 points are awarded to each side.
For a loss the losing side gets no points
There are also bonus points awarded for the performances of each side in each first Innings. These are awarded as follow:
200 - 239 runs = 1 batting point
240 - 279 runs = 2 batting points
280 - 319 runs = 3 batting points
320 - 359 runs = 4 batting points
360 runs or over = 5 batting points

3 - 5 wickets taken = 1 bowling point
6 - 8 wickets taken = 2 bowling point
9 - 10 wickets taken = 3 bowling point

good idea as most matches wont even get finished i dont think!

Hmmm... my FC league should be very competitive. It's basically three teams who have a bit of an advantage, then the rest of us (including me). Just noticed that one of the members of my league is the team that I played my first match against (in the cup, two seasons ago).

my side will be a top 4 side in fc i should think, with 4 decent sides up there. in od, i'm looking at a top 4 finish again. whether we push higher though remains an interesting question

Plus a Div. III OD side. I will lose pretty much every game in FC, and I'll win max 4 games in my OD league.

Going to be a ridiculous season. This is ****ed.

Hmm bidding on Monk is at 873k with about six hours to go, surprised he's going for so much. Takes me back up to about 2.25m. I'll put some ITS into a bowler next week (assuming that the age updates will occur around then), if I don't get a decent one then I guess I'll have to buy another bowler.

If I don't spend any money I should have about 3.5m by the middle of the season to spend on a new opening batsman, though I'm trying to keep earning as much interest as possible so I'll probably only spend 2m. That's the theory anyway, more than likely that I'll end up spending all my money before then.

Yeah, one gun team doesn't matter, I'm annoyed that 1) there are no easy-beats and 2) every match, virtually, will be closely contested. It'll definitely make things interesting though...

Anyway, my FC league, like I said, has three standouts (the last three teams) and then the rest of us. Should be a pretty good season though, should be able to beat juventius, Simkins Slackers fairly easily, while AKKA and heathcote junction will be more of a challenge.

Hmm, well the best from my FC league is Batty Men, who got quality top order and strong seam in their last proper match. Apart from that I should be able to TIE everything, though a couple of the teams are better than their ratings let on (because of low morale).

My OD league is beginning to look rather tough though, pretty close to the best eight teams in WI now. Ratings from their last proper OD match (top order/middle order, seam/spin):

NorCricket United: exceptional/prof, prof/quality
Asterix XI: exquisite/strong, superb/miraculous
Doobie Bombers: wonderful/prof, remarkable/strong
Pebble Street: prof/comp, strong/resp
Borderliners: strong/prof, quality/prof
Saint Barth Blondes: quality/prof, quality/comp
Knuckleheads: exquisite/med, quality/prof
Rovers Town: strong/strong, wonderful/comp

Pebble Street and Borderliners are better than those ratings suggest, so really I could finish anywhere from 1 to 8. NorCricket and Doobie Bombers the most difficult opposition as always, I'm slightly worried about Knuckleheads and Rovers Town as well. Hoping for top three finish.

Very happy with my FC league as i'll be able to TIE EVERY match as i have 4 bots in my league and the rest are eith new teams or really bad. Very happy indeed will allow me to have a good crack at promoting in both one day and 4 day.
