Heh, I spend about 10 minutes at most a day flicking through players, occasionally there'll be 1-2 I put on the shortcuts. The rest I just pick up through common sense and experience, the only things that take a bit of effort are working out the wages - but that's a one off anyway.

Oh well your not the only one. I read back about 400 pages or something old Adam (he's in the WI premier league) has almost never pulled a good youth. Neither have i, although i'm only division 3 in NZ.

Oh and i've been playing since last December, started in div 4 played 2 seasons and went up. I do reckon i'll get wasted in div 3 though..... awwwwwwww poor Paddy:unsure: :mellow:

the current YP system is pretty stupid. under the old system I pulled the likes of Fry, Sweeney and Duggan. under the current system is costs a lot of money to be in a position to pull a youngster from the academy, depending on how this goes me when the new season eventually gets underway, I may opt to cease investment in this area and save around 350,000 a season

I like the new system. More predictability, less room for one team to get unlucky while another keeps pulling resp or prof players.

i still think you should be able to decide whether or not you want a bowler, batsmen or keeper. on plenty of occasions people have poured their ITSs in favour of a batsmen, only to find had they put all their nets towards getting a bowler, they may have had a star, who could have sold for a lot of money, on their hands. this i think is stupid which is way i always opt for allrounders.

That is one point I definitely agree on. I don't think that we should be able to CHOOSE what they are, though some indication of what they are like would be better. I've heard 2nd team averages be suggested - is a decent idea, IMO, though it may tell too much about how good a certain player is.

Possibly just a vague indication of what they are good at.

How much would you be looking for, Scaly..I'm selling some players and if they sell for as much as I'm hoping for, then I might be able to afford him.
