Shocking display there from pretty much everyone.

For some reason my ratings have dropped from respectable top and spin, despite playing the same team...

International Captain
Tel Lee, with his first ball for the club, immediately removes his former West Indies NT team mate, Cuss, to bring Whenuapai back into the match. In what is quite a historic moment for the club, this is the first time we have had 2 spinners in the same team, and operating concurrently.

End of Over 15: 88-1, runrate=5.87
Vermaak 1-0-2-0
Ashton* 2 (13 balls)
Watkins 50 (40 balls)

Last Wicket: Cuss c. Mutasa b. Lee 32 (FOW: 74/1)

Why do you keep playing Vermaak with really crap PFL? Surely you've got someone who can do better than woeful/feeble on the match ratings?

Anyway they're on 4-0-40-0 so far...

hmm, Scaly, tbh, I've never really considered his PFL. certainly something that I've overlooked tbh.

5-0-51-0, just to update

Hmm Watkins departs for an impressive 153. Looks like we'll get a decent total, but that's to be expected on a flat pitch. Nice contribution from Ashton as well.

End of Over 46: 292-2, runrate=6.35
Mutasa 8-0-47-0
Whitehorne* 5 (4 balls)
Ashton 84 (101 balls)
Last Wicket: Watkins b. Sweeney 153 (FOW: 284/2)

Vermaak 10-0-84-0 incidentally (Lee 10-1-28-1).

Got the upper hand against nibbs, Whitehorne only took two wickets but they were the big wickets of both the openers, Duggan and Hamshaw. Waddell is still there but I don't think he'll be able to keep up with the required rate.

End of Over 33: 178-3, runrate=5.39, reqrunrate=8.59 (323-2)
Whitehorne 10-1-38-2
Waddell* 23 (39 balls)
Fry 3 (9 balls)
Last Wicket: Lennon Run Out 17 (FOW: 172/3)

hmm, Whitehorne is finished, so I guess it all depends on whether or not my batsmen can pick it up. I hope they do, by god

Adamc

Cricketer Of The Year
Watkins picks up Waddell for 40 with the last ball of his spell. Looking fairly safe now with Whenuapai CC needing 99 runs off 10 overs with 5 wickets remaining.
