I'm really glad that fitness and morale is being reset - at the moment I have lively fitness and joyous morale, along with joyous members confidence, but it's only because I've won 2 league games on the trot, hasn't been close to that for the majority of the season. Pretty good time to peak as well, with my playoff coming up (so I'll get maybe 140k from gate receipts, that should help keep my head above the line) The reset will also mean I'm on level terms with all the teams in my league again, which wasn't the case during the season - my ratings, despite having seen alot of improvement in my players, have remained pretty much the same.

Season 5, here we come...

Looks like I'm going to be staying up in Div IV - got a playoff against a solid, but fairly crap Div V team. Sweeet.

Fairly confident of securing second place by beating Doobie Bombers today, I'll basically have a better than full strength team as Wynand won't be sold until after the match starts. Can't wait to see how Whitehorne goes, got a cracked pitch prepared so hopefully he'll take wickets instead of just being economical.

Bidding on Wynand has stagnated, 2.16m atm, hopefully it'll reach 2.3m+.

I'm promoting to IV.43 (I think) and I'm almost definately going to finish in a position for demotion at the end of next season. Hopefully I can grab 5th and keep a reasonable amount of money coming in, and win a playoff.

Also, here's hoping FC leagues are different to the OD ones so I might be able to get a decent amount of revenue coming in over the season, as if it doesn't go over the 50k we're getting at the moment for an FC subsidy, I'm in serious serious trouble.

Sitting on about 400k at the moment, going to try and save for a while and buy a few new season 5 trainees. One keeper batsman, and one LFM (picky :p) bowler.

The new season seems like it'll be a rocky ride for CD's. Hoping the Div. IV experience is for the best.

If you're not playing a playoff, there's still a way of seeing what league you're going into, right?

Lost my last match today.

Bowled them out for 280 something, but suffered a batting a collapse. Saunders scored 147 but Mccammon only 47

Still have a chance of promoting, with not the hardest play off opponent.

League doesn't seem to be too hard. Not sure though, really.

In my crucial top of the table clash I've got my opponents 188-5 after 40, they had an opening partnership of 100 or so and have lost wickets steadily since. They still have one gun opener left but they *should* collapse in the last 10 going by standard Battrick games.

Conditions are sunny on a dusty pitch, hopefully it's a batting friendly dusty pitch - which would make this quite an easy total to chase down.

My game in the balance, they ended up with 223-9 after some slow 9th and 10th wicket partnerships. I'm 122-2 off 27 with my worst bat of the top 5, Obrien on 34* off 58 and Packer on 60* off 78. Their weakest bowler has just bowled 3 overs, one of their best is 7 overs through a spell. I'm hoping there's not many to get when it goes down to the last 10, but there'll probably be at least 40 to score, unless someone gets out shortly because Lisbie scores the fastest of my top order and he's in next.

Needless to say if I get one of those ridiculous collapses in the last 10 I won't be too amused...

Lost my last game, not that it mattered much. I'm actually going to try and stay in this division. Since the FC should be giving osme money nxt year, with bots and stuff and an easy division.

Of course, with my team fitness at fatigued and members confidence at pessimistic. I'm not sure, I cant beat my next opponent, but hey let's see.

165-3 after 38, Obrien out for 50 - which was a bit of a result really, but then Dillon did make 0 so...

59 needed off 12.

Commentary's up, made a bit of a disastrous start after being sent in but Cuss is keeping it together. Wynand went for 24 and Watkins for a golden duck, so it's up to Cuss and Whitehorne as far as the batting goes. Currently 78-2 after 13.

That FC engine better be decent because I give up with the OD sloblock. Absolutely ridiculous.

Code:
End of Over 42: 184-8, runrate=4.38, reqrunrate=5.00 (223-9)
Harper 9-0-38-3
Pace* 1 (1 balls)
Horne 5 (2 balls)

Last Wicket: Lisbie c. Hitchman b. Harper 13 (FOW: 183/8)

41.6 1 Harper to Pace
Played around the legs to the region of mid wicket as the fielder runs in to get the ball.
41.5 [B]W[/B] Harper to Lisbie
[COLOR="red"][B] Oh dear! That’s a schoolboy error by Lisbie, playing away from his body at a wide one. [/B][/COLOR]
41.4 1 Harper to Horne
Nudged off his pads, that keeps the scoreboard ticking over
41.3 4 Harper to Horne
Hilarious! Harper is not pleased as what looked like a single has turned into four runs because Birmingham let the ball go through his legs.
41.2[B] W[/B] Harper to Walsh
[B] [COLOR="red"]Hells bells! How did he get to that? Brilliant fielding of the highest order from Ryan in the slips, Walsh applauds as he wanders back to the pavilion. [/COLOR][/B]
41.1 [B]W [/B]Harper to Callery
[B] [COLOR="red"]Good length ball jags back a bit and he's played on. Great bowling! [/COLOR][/B]

End of Over 41: 178-5, runrate=4.34, reqrunrate=5.11 (223-9)
Stewart 6-0-25-2
Callery* 1 (1 balls)
Lisbie 13 (15 balls)

Last Wicket: Barton b. Stewart 1 (FOW: 177/5)

40.6 1 Stewart to Callery
On the back foot, stroked into the covers, good running.
40.5 [B]W [/B]Stewart to Barton
[B] [COLOR="red"]There was absolutely no turn on that whatsoever. Goodness knows how Barton didn't pick it. Stewart will hope his mom is recording this at home. [/COLOR][/B]
40.4 1 Stewart to Lisbie
There was never two there, so they almost walked the single.
40.3 . Stewart to Lisbie
    'Bowling Stewart' drawls Hitchman.
40.2 1 Stewart to Barton
Picked up and lands just short of Birmingham at long on.
40.1 [B]W[/B] Stewart to Packer
[B] [COLOR="Red"]That ones kicked and spun out of the rough and Packer can only look on in disbelief as his stumps are disturbed.[/COLOR] [/B]

End of Over 40: 175-3, runrate=4.38, reqrunrate=4.90 (223-9)
Payne 10-0-42-1
Packer* 80 (118 balls)
Lisbie 12 (13 balls)

Last Wicket: Obrien c. Van dongen b. Payne 50 (FOW: 157/3)

Harper is rubbish by the way. So don't bother marc.
