Glad to hear you had fun in Amsterdam Trev. :D

I'd be happy to do your YP for you, I doubt they'd pick up on it anyway but I'll let them know what's going on just in case. My email is adco73@hotmail.com, I can't actually see your password so you'll have to send it over. Although, are you sure you don't want to wait until the start of next season to get your YP, (as a 17yo now will turn 18 in a few weeks anyway)? Which brings me to my next question, do you want a 17yo?

Anyway, got one pop in training, Watkins to strong fielding. Was the first time I've given him a fielding net so I wasn't expecting the pop, just gave him the net to see how much his BTR would rise by (2,497).

I have a theory that YPs tend to get more generous towards the end of the season. Last time around I saved up my ITS and ended up pulling a Comp bat and two Med bowls at the end of the season. They were pretty much useless as they were Wor everything else, but I was kicking myself nonetheless. So I reckon that if they get a bit more generous towards the end of the season then it's probably compensating for the relatively short time left to train them as a 17yo, so if you get a half-decent one, you're probably no worse off than you would be by saving them up until next year. Plus, unless I get someone with at least a Resp primary, they're going straight on the market in any case, so it doesn't really matter how long you've got to train them.

Oh BTW, forgot to mention earlier that I also had Conc pops for Bennett, to Feeb, and Staveley, to Resp - As well as a Cons pop for Bewers, to resp. Given the rocking-horse crap nature of secondary pops, it's truly bizarre to ghet three in one week.

Right, I'll send you an E-mail now Adam, Cheers for this mate, Trev

Interesting theory, my latest YP seems to agree with it, resp batting and comp fielding with no ITS. Let me know when you've sent the email (if you haven't already sent it), hotmail tends to dispose of emails without my knowledge sometimes.

Edit: got it now, ta.

Yeh, but watch me get a med/Med now, just because I said that. Anyway, I've sent the E-mail now mate, let me know if you don't get it and I'll forward it on again.

Later, Trev

OK, here we go. I don't exactly have the midas touch when it comes to YPs, so apologies in advance...

Oh dear, I'm truly sorry! Here he is in all his glory (hope you don't mind me posting him here):

Vincent Stevens (879476)
LH Batsman, LF Bowler, respectable batting form, respectable bowling form, fresh
A defensive player with worthless leadership skills and worthless experience.

Plays For: Cymru Gurgitaters

Battrick Rating: 2,183
Wages: £455 p/w
Stamina: abysmal Wicket Keeping: worthless

I don't think he could get any worse really, was probably all worthless to begin with. I think it'll be a while before you're asking me for any more favours, sorry! :p

No worries, **** happens I suppose - Still some cash in the bank, though I'm wondering if the youth academy is really worth the amount of money I'm pumping into it. I mean, I could save up all those £20Ks, not to mention the £105K of repairs I've carried out, and buy myself a trainee. In two seasons now I've only had one YP worth keeping.

Later, Trev

Griffin, however, has gone from abysmal to feeble (that's +2) experience. Sutton's only gone from worthless to abysmal (+1), despite having more innings and way more games. So it definitely does seem that milestones, or at least playing well, has an effect on experience.
Possibly when they started Griffin was on high abysmal and is now low feeble whereas Sutton was low worthless (how bad is that?!) and is now high abysmal?

Duggan continues his quest for higher honours. I suspect he'll need a fielding net in the near future if he has any chance of keeping up with the other batsmen in NZ. Verkmaak continues his gradual rise, although like Duggan, he'll be getting a fielding net once his stamina is competent. Still waiting on overdue bowling pops for Hamshaw and Sweeney.

Problem is, I never really follow players rating closely, so I'm not 100% sure if they've popped or if they've had that rating for a while :D

Some nice players there Greg. If you're having trouble remembering their skills, you could just copy and paste your players into an excel spreadsheet every week.
