great stuff, Adam. well done.

in my cup quarter final, i bowled Calvis, last season's state shield winners, out for 237 in the final over on a flat pitch. i don't think that there have ever been times as tense as these in battrick. my batsmen are facing an opening spell from a nz nt bowler. if we can see him off we should win. tense time my friends, tense times...

End of Over 4: 18-1, runrate=4.50, reqrunrate=4.78 (237-10)
Duck 2-0-13-0
Waddell* 4 (13 balls)
Duggan 6 (5 balls)
Last Wicket: Lennon c. Vincent b. Warrington 8 (FOW: 11/1)

Batting: 55 (+7)
Bowling: 35 (+5)
Fielding: 39 (+5)
Secondaries: 90 (+4)
Stamina: 50 (+6)
Overall: 269 (+27)

Not worried about secondaries as they have rise by around 14 since late January
Alright, here we go

Now
Batting: 61 (+6)
Bowling: 39 (+4)
Fielding: 38 (-1)
Secondaries: 102 (+12)
Stamina: 55 (+5)
Overall: 295 (+26)

Fairly happy with that. I found the decrease in fielding somewhat humourous too

Bowling is looking decent, I now have no bowlers below Resp. Batting is... fragile. All in all, solid improvement, though I've got a few pops coming up which would've made it look better.

Hey Adam, what role did you have Anton Baptiste playing for you. I got him opening the bowling and then coming on in the last 10, his at number 1. His doing ok and better then the guy i had there before, but not as well as i like him to do. I was think of slotting him either at first change or a 5, i brought him mainly to bowl at the depth. What role do you think i should play him.

Depends on your other bowling I guess. He's a decent player given his consistency and fielding. What's his wage?

tehehe.

we made it through to the cup semi finals...albeit only just. our bowlers stood up and despite being 169/2 we had them all out for 237. in most cases a very gettable target, but there is no forgetting the fact that calvis won the state shield last season and currently sit on top of it atm. we lost lennon early, then duggan after he raced to 50 off 33 balls. at 87/2 the game was evenly poised. waddell (112) and hamshaw (45) got the score through to 219/2 after 40 overs, before we suffered an almighty collapse leaving us facing an embarassing exit at 233/7. sweeney stepped up though and cracked a 4 before leg byes brought up the winning runs.

we now are set for our 5th home cup match in a row, with a showdown with another stateshield side, sagehens, set for next monday. the bank account is really starting to enjoy this, just let me add.

Calvis XL 237 (50 overs)
Norris 90 (130), Vincent 83 (87), Holmes 35/3, Mutasa 43/3

Whenuapai 238/7 (43.5 overs)
Waddell 112 (143), Duggan 50 (33), Hamshaw 45 (65), Warrington 42/3

Code:
	Whenuapai CC Calvis XL

Middle Order: proficient proficient
Lower Order: woeful woeful
Seam Bowling: proficient remarkable
