Ok thanks. If i continue with two coaches after his first pop, will it still take 11 weeks or lower?
If you continue with 2 coaches it will still take 7 weeks maximum.

Am doing homework right now so I'm not on, but I will when I go on next. Pretty steady start so far, 62/1 off 16. When's your new rookie coming in to bat?

Edit: That's 68/2 following that wicket and then six next ball

Ouch, I guess that means you're out of the cup now, hey?

I managed to coast to a relatively easy victory against Got Spin

Got Spin 245 (49)
Makel 106 (125), Holmes 40 (54), Saunders 25* (15)
Cave 4/46 (9.5), Ohara 2/36 (10), Heard 2/45 (9)

Magical Ponies 2/246 (44.3)
Andrew 90 (136), Kenna 73 (62), Williamson 51* (62)
Saunders 1/40 (8), Oconnell 1/48 (8.3), Berry 0/25 (8)

They gave MOTM to Cave, but I'd give to Andrew, cause he also took 1/59

Screwd up a few things in my match, particulary the batting order, agression levels and bowling order. Oh well...Anyone up for a friendly next Sunday?

Mine too, woeful batsman with a rating of 300-odd.

This is getting a bit annoying, WI league matches still haven't been played from two days ago, and no word as to if and when they will be played. Actually they've probably been played, we just can't access the scorecard. 8-) Cup draw for today still hasn't happened either, so I don't know who I'm playing and can't set any orders.

Daily updates however have continued as normal, and I got 24 new members yesteday (up to 1019 now) which is the number I usually get when I win my league match, so hopefully the match has been played and I won... no idea though. Sold Partridge for 20k, which was pretty decent considering I bought him last season for 2k.

My league match was finally completed after three days. Recorded another fairly comfortable win against the former #1 by 47 runs to go to #2, the current #1 ahead of me on run-rate.

Won the toss and batted first on a green pitch, and lost Cuss early for 3 (his first score under 90 this season). Berry played a captain's knock with 119 off 126, but only two other batsmen, Gillespie with 33 and Bridge with 31, managed to pass 30. All out for 258 in 49.5 overs.

My bowlers put in a good allround performance for a change, though Gillespie (6-30 off 8.1 overs) dominated as usual. Gillespie currently has 29 wickets @ 7.69 this season (and 227 runs @ 113.5). Male was impressive with 3-38 off ten, Berry managed a wicket and Street kept things tight with 0-38 off his ten, which will probably allow him to retain his place ahead of Badley. Gillete took five catches as they were bowled out for 211 in 46.1 overs.

Decent match ratings considering I was playing on Normal, not GFI:

Asterix XI
Top Order: strong
Middle Order: competent
Lower Order: feeble
Seam Bowling: competent
Spin Bowling: useless
Fielding: mediocre

My opponent had proficient seam and strong spin though, so my bowling is still a bit weak for this league. Cup matches for WI are apparently put off till next week. My next league match is against the current #1, so I'll probably play that match on GFI.

Ah CW back up just as I can gloat about another giant (well they're a 2nd season division 3 team) killing cup victory...

Scored a steady 235-5 on a green pitch with dark cloud - for some reason they bowled 2 spinners, I think that's where they lost out really. I then bowled out my opening bowlers in one spell, eventually they were bowled out for 138 off 29.1 overs - two of their batsmen made double figures (74 off 64 and 20 off 18) the rest were skittled.

Keane 105 (127), Webster 41 (50)

Robertinho Select XI - 5/265 from 44.3
Knight 115* (121), Houlihan 54 (54), Wolfenden 51 (73)
Keane 1/23 (7)

We won by 5 wickets, though the openers both failed, and I'm pretty disappointed to be honest. Knight was a star :D
