Brilliant lesson in pacing an innings here.

224-5 after 40 overs, then Aldridge and Louis open their shoulders, 20 off Over 41 and now we're 309-5 with 2 overs to go...

And that's the end of the match. Come on you Wolves won by 205 runs.
Come on you Wolves 365-1
Jamees 999ers 160-10

Hinshelwood* 60 (72 balls) is my MOM, made runs where no-one else can. Will now play every match, if that means resting Aldred or Bardle, or dropping Dilhan/Johnson.

I guess the 6 fa and the fact that my skip carried his bat through the innings were the only plusses.

Straightforward run chase I imagine. I'm a bit worried that I forgot to TIE, didn't check my orders before the match.

Won my cup game comfortably in the end, won by 6 wickets with 5.2 overs remaining. But obviously with Battrick collapses(TM) it's very possible they'd have lost 6 for 15 runs or something if the target was 280 instead of 250.

Oh and I forgot to mention that the side are now up to sublime team fitness... for less than a day probably (training update will knock it down probably) - paradoxical really, hope they remove team fitness next season.

surprise cup win for myself, had them 29-5 and 56-6 and let them get 216. managed to get 217-4 with 4 overs left. Abdul Kadir scored 74* but his fitness is probably shot now.

He'll be rested on Friday as i have an easy TIE win, but i was hoping to get a gun side so i could rest him in the cup as we'd lose anyway but the team i've got are definately beatable so he'll have to play.

I'm at home aswell so i should rake in a fair bit next week, I'll be making a profit this week even with an away match and an away cup match, so next week with a home cup match and a home league match i should make 200k+. I'm at home the week after aswell so if i get through in thecup i could make over 400K in two weeks. :)

I'm up against a slightly strange team in the cup... Team Tomba, they've got basically two bats with one being an absolute gun (£11309 wage), the other is pretty good as well. Rest of the batting lineup is fairly crap, but of course this being Battrick these two openers will just bat for most of the 50 overs. Bowling is similar with one gun another two decent and two crap. They got superb/feeble/abysmal for their batting and respectable for their seam bowling. I got respectable/competent/woeful for my batting and competent/respectable for bowling in my last game, they've probably maxed out their morale already, but if I win my league game I'll catch up a little bit on their ratings. I've changed my pitch so it ends up as cracked for the game. Will give me some interesting choices, but will probably end up just highlighting how dumb the match engine in with the way it dishes out ridiculous 100+ batting averages...

Ah, another 'wegie. :)

Nine-wicket win on TIE for Dynamo today. First three men went for ducks and everything went well from then on. Hopefully the fitness boost should carry through to league results soon - I'm aiming for fourth place yet again, but two easy league games coming up means my priorities can be on the cup - should make the sixth round at least.

Won my cup game pretty easily, but I think my run is coming to end. Next opponent has got respectable/feeble/abysmal on the ratings, while I have med/feeb/abys. So probably just going to TIE it.

Got a bit of a tough match for round 4, they got these ratings on TIE yesterday:

Legion of Doom

Top Order: competent
Middle Order: mediocre
Lower Order: worthless
Seam Bowling: respectable
Spin Bowling: respectable
Fielding: woeful woeful

I would normally feel fairly comfortable against that but I have to play the top team in the league on Friday which will be a likely loss, so I'll have relatively low morale for the cup match, and my ratings yesterday on TIE were worst than that (albeit without Watkins). Might have to TIE the league, not sure yet.
