Look at his projected wage, it's not even halfway to quality, and that's without taking into account the amount that his secondaries and WK skills will add.

For about half this season, and nearly all of last season after i got him 8-)

Plus i stopped training him in stamina a few weeks after his last pop 8-)

Well, currently, because we aren't playing FC games, we just get 35k a week to make up for money we would be getting if we were playing FC games (even though you'd most likely earn a lot more than that). This next season, however, they're upping it to 50k.

I don't think you would earn much more than that really. 35k per week is effectively 70k per match (since you'd only have a home match every other week) which is equivalent to an attendance of ~9k (over three days). Now that it's 50k per week it's equivalent to a 13-14k attendance, which most teams would struggle to get (assuming that FC attendances aren't higher than OD - if anything they should be lower).

Paddy, sorry, was out of the office yesterday, so only just caught up - but if you're still up for a friendly on Sunday I'll challenge you today, seeing as you asked first. If not, are you still looking for a game Scaly?

Have a bit of a dilemma about tomorrow. Normally I'd open the batting with Greening and Staveley, who're both mid/high Strong, and head and shoulders above the rest of my batting line-up. Except, looking at my opponent's recent games, their one gun bowler seems to open the bowling, so I'm wondering if I'd be better off keeping Greening or Staveley back at No.3 or 4, A, as an insurance policy, and B, to pummel their second string bowlers while they're still relatively energetic. The only other batsman with the stamina to open would be either Noon or Bennet, (Med/Comp Stam respectively), and both lowish Resp Bats. I wasn't even going to pick Bennett, Preferring Higher Resp Dunfield to bat at No.6, even though he's only Woe Stam, but if I need to draft in a specialist opener then I guess Bennett suddenly comes into the mix. But given that Noon has Med Conc, as opposed to Bennett's Woe, he'd be more adept at playing a careful, watchful opening role, as he'd be better able to follow his Normal or Defensive instructions.

So, to distil this stream of consciousness into an actual question - or series thereof - Should I: A, Go toe-to-tow with The Night Watch, open with Greening and Staveley, and back my best batsmen to see off their best bowlers - Or B, Open with Noon on Normal/Defensive orders, and hope that he can se off Mills? Is lowish Resp a high enough level of ability to effectively see off a Strong bowler? And even if the answer to that question is yes, is the risk of Noon hanging around too long and screwing up Greening's chances of getting a decent knock too much to gamble with?

Tar, Trev
PS, waiting buttocks clenched, for tomorrow's pitch update, as I'm currently on Flat, trying to get to Dusty. I'd kind'a like to hold on until I know what the pitch is before setting my orders, as it makes the difference between whether I set Bridges M to Normal or Attacking. Although the danger of that is that at the moment Wales are on the brink of announcing a new rugby coach, and if that happens overnight or in the morning, then there's no guaranty that I'm going to have the chance to set my orders before the 10AM deadline - Pesky Work!!

Well i challenged a team and posted that post at nearly the same time and the guy i challenged accepted before your post.
So i have a game.
Craig (Scaly Piscine) has one as well

because fc matches have been put off for another season i've added 9000 seats to my stadium, taking the capacity to 34,000. so if i'm able to sell out my ground i'll make over 200k per match. so yeh, hopefully i can amass heaps of cash and buy me an awesome spinner towards the end of next season, a quality one, or something even better.

I'm several hundred thousand pounds in debt. Until tomorrow anyway.

Hopefully I can get good some attendances next season, highest this season was a bit over 31k I think. Ground capacity is 33k so I'll probably have to expand at some point, probably not till near the end of season hopefully.

Hmmm it is a tough question. I'd be tempted to leave your order as it is, because they have the most chance of seeing off the bowler. Besides, if anything goes wrong, at least you'll have Noon down the order to steady the ship.

On the 30th (BT time) my ground will hold 11000 people
bringing in 80ishK every match
Its a touch over 80k for 11000 ground, as i have one.

I havnt upgraded this whole season, since i spent most of it getting ravaged and didn't sell out once

Hoping to make amends for that next season :)

Haha same here, although my ground is 10,000 and needs to be brought in line with the correct ratios. Am looking forward to my game tomorrow, the team I'm fielding would be thrashed by the team I started off with in Season 2.
