Yeah, Cuss sucks at NT level, definitely won't be there next season. Expecting to get thoroughly thrashed against Australia as we're TIEing with pretty much our weakest XI possible. Have to focus on the games that we actually have a reasonable chance of winning (although NZ managed to beat Aus last week).

Ellis has been in the 40s for about 20 balls, his lack of stamia is really killing his scoring. Pushpakumara faced 50 balls for his 11. A good sign of resistance come FC next season.

Well I would but I'm obliged not to. He's not that good really, though he'll still be dominant at club level for another season or so.

Anyway, doing OK against Australia, made a good total (Seargeant hitting the first ever WC century) and picked up the wicket of Baldwin, who was exceptional/sensational or something like that when he was on the transfer market a while ago. Chance of victory still pretty slim, but a nice effort considering the XI is a long way understrength.

Interesting tactics from South Africa, the U19s called up two of SA's best NT batsmen (who are 19yo) and as a result their NT got thrashed by SL, even though SA GFI'd. Their U19s could do some damage though.

Next season I'd expect most NT players to be at least wonderful, or around that level anyway (I don't think there are any players higher than sensational at the moment, apart from WKs), a bit lower for allrounders perhaps. U19s will probably consist mainly of quality/remarkable players at the start of the season.

It probably doesn't look like it, but most of the smaller nations have reduced the gap between them and England and Australia - the only team that won't be able to compete is Pakistan, who don't seem to have any gun players at all. India NT is a bit weak at the moment, but that's mainly because they gave their best 19yo's to the U19s.

Well if the U19s have priority when it comes to good players who are 19 and below, why are Janes, Dickson, Boyd, Street, Summers, Cook and Seargeant in the NT? I doubt many bowlers in the squad would be better than Hook, barring Janes, so it's not as though there's no room for him.

To have him in the squad I'd have to drop a player, and the U19s will have to drop him. Whenever a player is dropped from an NT/U19 side the team loses a level or two of morale. Because we've had the same sides for two seasons there are players in the U19s who (due to training) are now good enough to replace some players in the NT - the same applies for every other country.

The side i played came 3rd in Divison 3 and could be on par with the sides i may face next season, if i win my playoff. So looks like i have a lot of work to do on my batting. The bowling wasn't that bad, really without Kuruppu innings we could have really pushed them.

Hmm the rating looked pretty close, so i guess it shows how little they mean:

There's supposed to be a limit of 100 ITS. Think I'll have to get busy on the transfer market at some point and buy a decent batter.
